I sat out of the front steps, watching the people outside with amusement. The sky was a color I could only describe by saying I'd have to draw it with pastels. It was a light blue, and toward the bottom of the sky it turned a light yellow color, and then a pretty light pink. "Hey Ty," I said, Milly still tightly holding onto me. She pulled me by, but I tried to hold myself to a stop. "Wait, Mils. Wait."
"No. No waiting allowed," She said, tugging me along.

I sat outside on the ledge of the roof, though it was extremely dangerous. It was nice to be able to look out over everything. I felt like God or something; just looking down on everyone living their lives. The only difference was I didn't control everything. Heck, I didn't control anything. If I did, a lot more things would go my way. But it was still kind if beautiful. So I was glad I didn't control anything, for fear I'd mess it all up.

I sat down wordlessly next to TJ. I didn't feel as if there was anything to say, anyways. I'd seen him sitting up here when I'd exited the forest and had decided to come sit with him. What if he were to fall? No one would even be able to attempt to save him.

I jumped up, deciding to go after them. It was kind of apparent where they were headed, but I went ahead and asked anyhow.
"Where are you guys going?" I asked, falling into step beside Quinn. "And do you mind if I tag along?"

"Because the forest is uninhabited by jerks who I hate," I explained simply, shrugging. I was still debating whether or not to tell him about seeing Ty there earlier.

"Splash contest," Milly explained quickly. I tried to slow her down, but it was pretty impossible. She slowed a little as we reached the steps. "Do you want in?"

"Serenity was there, too," I said. I'd seen her exit as well. You could see so much from up here. And you'd think it'd give you an insight on what everybody was doing, but it really didn't. It didn't let you know why they were doing it. So it just put more questions in your head. "Did you guys run into each other?"

"Kind of," I admitted. I pushed my hair out of my face, feeling rather impatient with it. I leaned back on my palms and thoughtfully added, "We talked for a few minutes. I think it weirded her out that I wasn't being mean."

"Me, Derik, Quinn, and Brett," Milly said. I scoffed a little pulling finally out of her grip as we reached the dock. Derik and Brett were already on their feet, drenched with lake water.
"You found him," Derik said, pulling his wet t-shirt over his head and tossing it onto the dock. It made a weird squish noise as it hit the wood.
Brett half-smiled, and he spoke sarcastically as he pulled off his shirt. "He's not that hard to find. All you gotta do is-"

I grinned, wondering what it was exactly Brett was going to say, but not letting it bother me. I slipped off my flip flops and quickly pulled my hair up into a ponytail. I had a tanktop on under my shirt, so I pulled the shirt off, so I'd have something somewhat warm and dry to put on when it was freezing cold and I was drenched with lake water.
"So how's this gonna work?" I asked.
