Skylight popped one eye open and looked out of the opening of his den. The bright sunlight poured in and he blinked a few times before getting used to it. He stood up and stretched. His wing lifted off of his still sleeping sister who shifted at the sudden cold. He grinned at her and then stepped outside into the fresh morning air.

Mithril flashed through the morning air which held the sent of winter's snows, and a new frost. He circled down as he sighted to other dragons below him.

SkyLight looked up to see a dragon coming in for a landing. He stepped back a bit to get out of its way.

Mithril landed on a high branch above the dragons, he waved his tail to keep his balance.
"Hello," he said, "my name is Mithril."

Skylight squinted up at the dragon. The sun shone right behind it making it hard for him to see. "I'm SkyLight. I just woke up..." He yawned and stretched again and looked back at his sister who he thought would wake up at any moment.
