(OK, I'll be using Keira with her dragon Talitha. Note that Keira is a Brit, and 16.)

I walked the hallways aimlessly, with me on her shoulder, playing with a star on my muzzle.

Will walked through the halls keeping a very close eye on NightShadow in front of him.
NightShadow swayed as she walked down the halls trying to knock a picture off a wall or break something.

My star glowed on my muzzle and I put it in my mouth. My face glowed with the star, and I giggled.
I saw Talitha's face and giggled as well. "That star made your face glow like a lantern!" I giggled as I walked.

NightShadow hear someone coming so she grabbed Will's arm and ran into a room to hide. She used her tail to cover Will's mouth and hold him back as she waited until they were closer then she jumped out and roared.
Will ran out out the room and grabbed her muzzle with his hand to make her be quiet.
