Ashleigh walked outside and noticed a flash of lightning and a distanced rumble of thunder. She bowed her head and walked carelessly to the port. She sat there and stared at the thunderous sky

(Half-bloods [idk if you know this already] are either kids of a human and:

1. vampire

2. werewolf

They have a medallion and once a year, the half-bloods all come for a week to talk abotu certain things. If a werewolf or vampire in the family dies, the oldest half-blood becomes one. There are ways to undo the changing. Every half-blood has a gift like reading minds, acid spit, controling insects, ect.)
