Melanie dropped her pencil, and shook out the cramp that was creeping through her hand into her arm.
Sirian lifted her tiny snout and sighed audibly. When can I move? She asked Melanie, obviously irritated at having to sit still for so long. Melanie thought back, I'm almost done, okay? She admired the drawing. It was almost lifelike, and the best she'd ever done. A few more deft strokes of her pencil, and she was finished. Look, Sirian! I'm done! The draglet stretched and stared at the picture, interested with her owners art

Emily looked up from her balcony on her appartment and saw a bright glow in the dim sun the was begining to set (she's in a diffrent time-zone, it's like 7:25 there) and murmured to herself. She knew Icethorn wouldn't come to visit her until after dark- his Icelike scales made him easy to spot. She srieked as a hand covered her mouth, which was pretty loud for a muffled scream. The neibors might have heared her, if they weren't all at pizza night in the next building! Icethorn! She called in a panic before she was knocked unconsious by the slayer.

Icethorn looked up when he heard the voice inside his head, and felt The connection break. She must have been knocked unconcious. But the slayers were ganging up on him already! 'I hate to do this to yea," he said and blew in a circle around him. The Slayers were frozen. "I told Emily we had to go from here yesterday! Now look! They've found us!" He quickly flew to her direction, a faint connection was still there, but very weak.
