Well, I'm sure Malefocent's been forced to make a shell of darkness cover the whole shelter, which makes it look like an inactive black hole, really. Mystheart explained. To scare off others; but you can still walk through, and with this special form, still see. I'm the only one who knows that other than Malef and Black, really. Surprised White doesn't know.
