Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays

Warrior names! Wow, this is about my favorite type of name to come up with!

My warrior names come up differently. Sometimes, I just come up with it in no time. Like, Honeyblossom. That's just the name I want for a soft-spoken queen who has two adorable kits. Or... Eaglerunner. There's your loyal-to-the-end, always-running tom that has no time for a mate. But sometimes...history has everything to do with it.

So...start off with what your cat looks like. Lemme see. Maybe I have a...black and white she-cat. She has...yellow eyes. There. That's good and basic. Now, what in nature is black and white...

- Sky

Or...you can just go with something you like!

- Shadow

I personally like Shadow. Now, for the history part. Shadow___'s parents named her Shadowkit. When she became an apprentice, she became Shadowpaw. Now's the time when you get to think like a leader! What did Shadowpaw do? What traits did she show in her training?

Let's pretend that she has a mellow voice, sort of sing-songy. And she has a calm, confident attitude. But then again, she has black paws. And a black face. (Her underbelly is white.)

Step 1.Think of a word you really like(MUST be a REAL one,NOT made up(well technically their ALL made up but...you get my point.))...I like Dusk.

Step 2.Look around you,search the web,it helps to find other words.Read a book maybe?Maybe 2 pages?Or the chapter of a story you wrote,yor riend wrote,or an online one!Look at the words carefully,then write them down.Pretend I found these words that I liked:

♦Blaze
♦Silence
♦Shatter
♦Bone
♦Song
♦Flower

Step 3.Hmmm....now,look at the options that you found,try combining them all with the first word you chose(the one from step 1.)

Step 4.Pick the one out of those options that you preffered!Lets say I chose Duskmoon!

In some rollplays like For Me To Know I take what there secret is go to babble fish and tranlat it to a differ. Like Risse contoles emmotion and I translated Tears to German.
