I was looking for the 1st year Hogwarts Thread and couldn't find it even on the last page of listed RP threads and are there any elite RPs? I haven't seen any in awhile. Thanks. No elite roleplays- there probably never will be on WI, only semi and regular. | | | 11-13-2008, 06:08 PM | #122 | ith Sony Vegas I'm a Gift Guru Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 43,107 | Re: Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays I need an opinion. Make your character the way you first imagine them. That will be the way you think of them anyway. If you don't you will have a lot of trouble remembering what they look like. | | | 11-14-2008, 04:02 PM | #124 | Emma is the name Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 13,887 | Re: Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays Great tips! "Aquella" and "Taylina" and "Kaype" are a few of my favorites. | | | 12-13-2008, 01:40 AM | #127 | mink268 Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 6,094 | Re: Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays Great thread lark!
I like animal over human Rps because in a animal RP you have to figure out how to survive, how they act, what their habit's are, how they 'smile', about their enviorment, and so on. I like to be different from who I am.
I like creating charries after people I've meet in my life, like maybe I've meet a person who enspires me to write a charrie. Say, I need enspartion for a charrie in a... flying squirel Rp. [Totally random, I know.] I think about that person, think how they might act now if something had been changed in their past, major or minor. Then I think of them looking like a flying squirrel. What color, how tall or small, and how they would act. Would they have a special mark? Yada Yada.
I look at japanese names most of the time now days. I especially love the way they roll of my tounge. Azami, for one, means thistle flower. Yoshi is a short term for many common names for men in japan. I take the name and figure out an appearance I like for that name... or I do it the other way around. I like to make my characters different- even identical twins have something different, like one wears pink an the other wears blue. Or one wears a decorative head scarf and the other wears a normal head band. Attitudes as well.
I like to make up a characters past as I go along, I sometimes think I do it because I don't want others to know my plots. | | | 12-18-2008, 05:11 PM | #128 | Guest | Re: Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays I've been here before, but,I have more ideas.
Advice on making wolves:
I've seen many perfect wolves.Just plain PERFECT.Don't do that...it's very bad.
Here's a description/personality I made:
A repulsive brute. He is scarred and unpleasantly tempered. He is stockily built, and has dirty, matted white fur.The brute has evil-looking green eyes.He has no joy in his heart, and his appearance reflects his personality.
I like odd names:Such as:Esadias,Vietta,Niatzu,Midnight,Moonlight,Zinala.. It's like, they can be just average. And making beautiful characters is okay, in my opinion. As long as you don't make it so they're perfect as well. | | | 12-23-2008, 04:11 PM | #130 | these butterflies Gifted Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 10,683 | Re: Character 101--How to make really great characters for role-plays Don't make your character perfect. No one is perfect, not even people in books.
It'll make your character sound too full of themself if they can do everything. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
