I truly am alone.
Bree was under her tree again, reading her huge, brown, title-less book with the red ribbon bookmark. There was nothing to do, it was a typical day (for her). All Bree did know was that the day before, she had figured out how to 'become the earth' like dryads were supposed to. She had been brought up by humans, so she always thought to herself If I hadn't been brought up by humans, I would have been able to do all this dryad stuff, and maybe not even be here at Camp Half-Blood, though I do like it here. | | | |

Yawning, she marked her place, and set the book aside in a tree root that seemed perfect for the book to fit in. No, she thought. Urgh, so she did see me! thought Bree to herself. I thought she didn't. Bree decided that now was a good time to try moving as the earth, like a true dryad should. She tried to move her legs, but she then remember she no longer had any to move. She tried her arms, but the same thing happened. Maybe I'm like an amoeba, when I have to move my whole body in order to move.

Bree, from inside the tree, heard someone shooting arrows, possibly in her direction. She crept up the tree, and found a knothole where she could peek out. She saw a girl that she actually knew the name of. It was Apella shooting arrows into the woods. Maybe she won't hit me.. Then I can just stay here, and quietly rest.
Of course, Bree didn't realize that she was the tree, not just in it, so if an arrow hit the tree, Bree would feel it.

Bree hadn't made it as far as she thought, or maybe she just wasn't going as fast as she thought. Suddenly someone's heels were squishing into her, maybe on purpose, maybe not. She figured it was the girl she had met earlier. Urgh. I feel like going out there right now and giving her a lesson. Well, maybe if she walks into the woods...
