Aspen's ears flew straight up, hearing a soft growl just upwind from her position. She hissed quiety, unable to smell who the animal was. Her stomach was content and full, so she had no reason to be quiet if it were prey.

Roan pulled her lips back in a small snarl of determination to keep up with her mate. She lowered her ears and head, and began to gain more speed. She was, being smaller and probably alittle heavier than Kivin, only able to run even with the tip of his tail, even at full speed.

Branch's ears flickered with calm curiousity of the aggresive acting serval female's hiss, and sent her in return a calm, peaceful, and curious meow. He hadn't had the chance to meet the leader yet, so he had no idea this was her. The white serval again set his head on his paws, and await the female scent to come closer.

The brute was built well for speed, and though he did not look at all graceful, he was able to run for long distances. He cast a quick glance over his shoulder at Roan, then focused his attention on what lay ahead, not wanting to trip on the uneven earth.

Aspen listened to the rise and fall of the cat's reply. She shrugged, and decided not to investigate any further. The she-cat decided she might as well hunt for her clan; it was spring, so new kits would be on their way.

Elm sat in the center of a grove of trees grooming herself methodically. First she'd lick her paw, draw it over her face twice, then repeat the process. Once she was satisfied that her face was clean enough she turned around and neatened the fur that lay along her spine.

Kivin cast another glance over his shoulder, and when he saw that Roan was still lagging he fell back to run beside her.
