Riley walked across the school campus quietly, keeping to himself. The usual. He wasnt the friendliest guy; not because he was mean, but shy. He settled on the grass under under the same tree as someone else, but on the opposite side, so he was unaware of her. He pulled a sketchpad out of his bag, looking for something to draw.

Dawn serenely pulled out a sprite, also pulling out a notebook, she wrote:

In the time of darkness, my sisters did leave, my brother taking over, yet no one seemed to think to help! Why is it we all must fight? We once were the best of friends, now turned enemies, having to live in the land of mortals.


She grinned, it wasn't her best work, but she had to write that down or she would explode. Not seriously of course.

Riley decided on a raven that was perched in a tree across the yard. He started at the head, with gentle, shadowed strokes. He planned to do the tree and all.

Dusk put her notebook down, gently closing it. It was where she wrote her feelings, usually in her own language, instead of this fowl human one. She started scaling the tree, climbing up the side with the grace of a cat.

Caleb blinked. "Have you ever been in love?" He asked wanting finally to talk about his last love Scarlett.

Riley, hearing movement, glanced up quickly. Above him he saw the girl, and chuckled lightly, wondering how long she'd been around.

"Hmm, no, I suppose not." She sighed, looking at him finally, "Why do you ask?"


She sat down on a tree limb, kicking off her shoes, and watching them fall. She smiled to herself, perhaps she'd turn into a bird later, as it was her animal.

Riley chuckled, observing the girl over with a tilt of his head, so his brown hair fell into his bright, glowing brown eyes. "Hey." He said finally.

"Because i was once, she left me though...and i need to talk about it with someone." He said playing with his fingers. "would you like to talk about it with me?" He asked.
