I sat down quickly at my chair, and ordered my robot-assistant to shut the door. When it was sucurly locked, I sighed loudly. "More?! We've already had one this month... and then the break-in... something has to be done." I frowned. "Who was it, and what have you done about it?"

"Two," he corrected. "Ira Waite, who is currently away on business. And Halie Madison James. Aphrodite and I have come up with a plan. With your approval, myself and Aphrodite will erase Halie's memory. Then you, Aphrodite, Shadow Stillhunter, and I will target commoners, erase their memory, and train them to be government spies. I was on my way to convince Shadow right now. She's great at targeting people."

"Ira..." I whispered softly, the name struck a chord. "File on Ira Waite." An image popped up on my desk, and a block of text. "Yes!" I exclaime,d jumping up. "This.. this is the girl from the break-in, who pointed the gun at me!" A wicked grin spread over my face. "Go ahead with you plan, but leave Ira to me."

He nodded. "Accompany me to Shadow's office?" (Can you. It'll be weird having a conversation with myself.)

"Of course." I rose, erasing the file from my desk. "Unlock doors, security on high." I said out loud. A grating, metalic voice answered, "Systems secure, office security on." I smiled vaugely.

Joe knocked twice on Shadow's door.

"Come in," Shadow said in a foreign accent.

Joe stepped inside.

I followed, nodding at Shadow, and sitting down on a reception chair, without being asked. It was my building after all. Mostly.

"Yes?" she asked from behind her black sunglasses. She wore them even though the room was dark. She never took them off.
