Eh, it could be better Merry. See, my biggest issue at the moment is the book I just finished reading. I know this might sound really, really odd, but reading The Last Olympian gave me terrible writer's block. It was this crazy, intense adventure story, and it was really good. But none of my stories are all "intense" like that, and I have no motivation to write whatsoever.

Thanks Ratty. I think I'm going to make myself write at least one chapter of Magic Jello today. That's the one I've neglected a lot lately.

EEP! I have suddenly become inspired to write a story.
Pirates, Hammerhead Shark Ghosts and a Terrible Training Mission is all I can say. And yes, you should be scared because I'm now hyper.

Yes, I do know that this piece that I'm about to post is terrible, which is why I'm posting it. I need some suggestions.




I stretched my arms above my head as I woke to a honey colored stripe of sunlight across my face. I blinked my grey eyes to clear the sleepiness out of them, and dragged myself out of bed slowly. I squinted as the sun smacked me in the face with an especially bright ray through my window, then leapt to my feet. A couple of strands of hair tickled their way over my brow. I frowned and pushed them behind my ear before picking up my brush and pulling it through my dark blonde hair.
I regarded myself in the mirror with raised eyebrows. I had long dark eyelashes, a freckle spattered nose and a pair of serious grey eyes. My hair went to my shoulders, and it was usually a tangled mess of knots. Everyone told me I was beautiful, but I'd never ever believed them. I dragged the brush through it again, but it still looked like I'd been trampled by a herd of elephants. I sighed and tamed it back into my signature braid, like I did almost every day. I then pulled on some clothes and headed out to the kitchen.
Mom was at the fireside, stirring a pot of something with an unhappy expression on her face. Father was at the table, writing furiously on a sheet of parchment with a quill pen and a pot of black ink, and Robert, my toddler brother was sitting on the floor, building a tower of wooden blocks. I looked around the familiar room and sighed happily. True, the walls were rather bare: only a small mechanical clock hung above the fireplace, and all the furniture was made roughly from wood. But it was home.
Father's cloak was slung over a chair, and for the first time, I noticed how patched and worn it was. I looked down at my own clothes. They were much newer, and bore no stains or jagged edges. I sighed. I knew both mother and father were desperately worried about the money, but I'd never given it much thought before.
"Morning Jayden dear," Mother said tiredly. "I'm just making breakfast."
I sniffed the air. "I know, mom," I replied. "I'll just go out to feed the chickens..." She nodded in approval and I almost flew out the door into the sunshine. My bare feet were used to the rocky ground and I picked my way easily across it to the chicken coop. The birds had heard me coming somehow, because they were already at the wire fence, carrying on and squabbling like usual. I slipped my hand in the wooden box of feed and replaced the lid tightly. If the rain got into all the feed, everything would be ruined. My fingers lightly scattered handful after handful of corn into the enclosure until the silly birds refused to eat anymore. I twirled around once, and ran back to the house.
When I entered the kitchen again, mom was ladling bowls of soupy porridge stuff out. I grabbed a spoon from a drawer.

That is exactly what happened to me when I finished a book lately. xD So you aren't the only one. I was like "None of my stories has that good of a plot." I got really frustrated for like a week just trying to think of a good plot but I finally thought of one! You just have to give it time. xD But now I have an awesome idea. I am not going to reveal it just yet. These are the three key things I will say that go along with it:
