I love all the posts about animals, the weather, WW prizes and so on. Everyone is so dedicated to this thread! 50ish, I feel for your daughter. I hope she can bounce back quickly.
Our church as a children's Christmas program tonight. Last year we had a few real animals. I'm not sure what's in store this year. We mostly have little kids -- the kind that aren't reading much on their own.

The weather in RI is not good my DH had to go to work at 6am-9pm today very bad road conditions , We have about 14 inches right now & its still coming down heavily !! I hope we dont lose power , I dont think we will !!

ODD stands for Older Dear Daughter. When you have more than one. There's also YDD, Younger Dear Daughter.
My dream is to just be on the beach, whether it's on a horse or not is secondary. I LOVE the ocean.

Yes this weather is terrible . I cant go out Shooping today , & my DD's Friend slept over last nigt they are going to watch Harry Potter soon on DVD . I need to get some more stuff for Christmas I hope my Son can go back to School tom. if they have School , His cold seems better , & I dont want him to miss the Holiday fun at School !!
Mrs. Shimmer remember the nice Birthday card you made my Friend ?? Well someone thought it was so nice they re-used it & gave you a shout out on that thread !!

I just wanted to check in today and say hello to everyone. 50ish, I am sorry about your daughter's heartbreak but that just takes time for her to heal.
I hope everyone is safe in the weather. We are so lucky to have a nice day with the sun trying to come out and no snow. There have been a few problems, though. Last night there must have been a power outage somewhere because when I got up in the night and tried to get a drink of water nothing came out. We don't have our own well, but our water system does have a pump which goes out occasionally. Good thing the water was back on shortly after that. Then one time the lights flickered off just in the blink of an eye - not long enough to affect all the clocks in the house.
I still have not finished my shopping - need one more thing for DH. I will stop and get that on the way home from picking up our Chrismas ham on Tuesday.
Last night my husband asked if there was anything he could do for me today. It's too late for him to put up Christmas lights so I said I wanted to go to the nearby furniture and gift shop today. They always have beautifully decorated trees and I have not been to see them yet. Maybe I will peek at their webkinz while I am there. | | | |

Several times we have gone to Gulf Shores, AL the week between Christmas with some of my MIL's family. We rent a house right on the beach, and it is so nice. I love the sound of the waves and walking along the water. In the day it's usually shorts weather, although we've had some cold spells. Some brave souls have actually gone swimming. We haven't done that in years, but we have nice memories and great video tape!
