So someone tag my thread "cheese"! I not understand. I think rude and mean to me. So I get remove. But moderator tell me hearing people say cheese for lot of reason and give me list. Hearing people need know that Deaf not hear all slang and funny comments and not always understand if joke or not. Sometimes I get hurt feeling and it only misunderstand. Silly me about cheese!

My cousin is also going to colledge and for a second language he is taking a sign language class! I'm so excited for him, and hope he can teach me some of what he has learned!

No i am not deaf. When my dads girlfriend was little she got hit in the back of the head. It hit her speaking nerves and she became deaf. She taught my Dads girlfriend ASL. mY dads girlfriend taught me alot.

Many school now have sign language! Lucky for me. I not see me able pass Spanish when I go high school. lol I hope my high school have sign language it will easy "A" for me.

Wow! That's so cool that you can sign! I only know the letter K, A, S, E, Y. I can hear, but that's really cool that even though you can't it's not stopping you from doing things that you want to do.

i know a little sign language, but sadly not much. there is a girl on youtube who talks/signs(?) on youtube and makes videos of her signing/talking. i wish i could remember what she called herself, but i forgot. people who also know sign language/or who are deaf send videos back and speak to her.

oh wait, i do have a question for you. I've always wondered about this, and whenever i asked my teachers, they did not know the answer.

when you think, inside of your head, do you hear like a voice? or are you seeing words? or do you see pictures of things or what?

i'm sorry if this is offensive some way to you, i'm just very curious.

For anyone who wants to learn the basics, the signing alphabet is really not difficult to learn. My friend and I took a day to learn it. We got a book from the library with pictures of the hand positions. Or, like Aiorna says, you can look online. I highly recommend learning it, you will never regret it.
