- the main state that hurts them is Canada (i like canada that's just the only thing i hate about it)
- it really hurt me to see thoose poor inisint seals get hurt. and not just by preditors but by humans
- millions have been hurt and this animal is about to be extinct
- it's very cruel and upsetting to see
- and after hunters are done, they just leave the seal's meat there for no reasons now that's just wrong
- the very dissopointing this is that i think webkinz are made out of seal like the poodle or alley cat. ganz company is in canada so i think the come and they DO make cloths for dolls out of seal i hope you get my point of why they should stop i mean like 10 would be okay but millions, thousands that's just wrong

All the Webkinz are made out of cotton, plastic, and other synthetic materials. I don't think there is even any leather used on Webkinz. | | | 10-18-2009, 09:46 PM | #6 | ow I LOVE Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 1,574 | Re: Save the seals club no . they stripe it i said i think i didn't say i know and guys please don't think of canidans evil only some do this | | | 10-19-2009, 09:55 PM | #7 | Happy New Year! SAVE THE SEALS PEOPLE UPDATE : i was on youtbe watching htem hunt them (IDK Why ) and i lookd at the comments and it seemed like the y didn't care! they where like mmm seal meat and most of them gave them points and that's what upset me the most. members Myhorsenot4u, iluvdogzsomuch, rootbeer598 Only a few hunters that hunt for fun (not for food) leave them there. Those who hunt them for food (not for fun) would never leave the seals there. Once they get a seal, they will eat it and they will use the furs for items such as: Coats, boots, mits, hats, ect, ect. Moving on! Just because a company is in Canada, it does not mean they will follow the ways as other Canadians. I think I am correct when I say seal fur costs lots of money, and I don't think GANZ would speand tons of money to make a few plushies when they could use things that will not cost as much as money. And I'd just thought I'd add, If I felt a seal's skin and a webkinz skin, I do not think they would feel the same. But that's just me. (Note I have never felt a seals fur). | | | 10-21-2009, 03:15 AM | #8 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 2,804 | Re: Save the seals club It's good to have opinions on matters, but please don't base your opinions on just seeing a video. There are many old sealing movies still being circulated from 20 or 30 years ago, before strict rules were put in place to make sure that the animals are killed humanely. There is always another side of the story, often more than one.
In addition to the points highlighted in the post above, it is also not true that seals are nearly extinct. There are so many of them, that in fact, it is the fish that they eat that are in danger of becoming extinct.
May I encourage you to do some research, and have a look at all sides of the issue? What does sealing mean to First Nations and Inuit people? What is the impact on fishing communities? What impact do seals and overpopulation of seals have on fish? What are the laws and rules that the government has put in place? What is fact, and what is fiction?
And by the way, I am Canadian, and no, I have never hunted for seals, nor eaten them, nor have I ever had the desire to do so. But I do know how much misinformation is being circulated. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
