I have a question for you Atheists who went to church. When and how did you realize you don't believe in God even when you went to church and were taught about him? Just curious.

I just never believed any of that stuff. I knew it wasn't real, and decided to be an atheist.

I went to church one time on easter, and all I did was drip candle wax onto my cousin's hand and light some little book thing on fire by accident.

I see you say you KNEW it wasn't real. You must really believe that! What do you think is going to happen to you when you die?

I think I'm going to be a person...who is laying down...in a coffin. Well, I probably won't be in a coffin WHEN I die, unless my family gets really sick of me. =P

that sounds fun!

I knew i didn't believe when i realized that it didn't really make sense.

i think that when you die, you die. you don't really do anything, except hang around in a coffin or creamated

To me it makes sense. Did you ever go to church?

So when you die your life just ends? Is that what you mean?

yesa, that's what i mean. and i did go to church when i was younger, and sometimes i am still forced (whenever i go to my grandma's, or at Easter and Christmas)

sometimes there is not much evidence for religions. I have evidence for mine(Bible) but sometimes it could be hard for some people to believe it. (absolutely NOT me) I believe when I die I will go to heaven with God. If you don't believe in him we believe you will go down there. we believe he died on the cross to forgive our sins. Just a little bit about what I believe

Pretty much, yes. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp for me, more less hard than religion, which sounds too good to be true and must be made up by man to comfort themselves in believing they will never truly die.
For instance, consider that last cheeseburger you ate. What do you think happened to the cow when it was slaughtered? if that helps you get my point.
Man isn't any different.
