Pix - that was a fun game of Supermodelz. For a while I thought we were going to tie for the whole game. Too funny that we both had the exact same first outfit.
Someone Ganz needs to study geography.
Not one is the right answer. The capital of Belgium is Brussels, isn't it? | | | 06-20-2009, 09:48 AM | #5102 | hy, of course I'm Gifted Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 748 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Hello! Hope everyone's Saturday is what you want it to be.
I got 1 backpack out of 3 done yesterday. I will show pics when I get them done. Today I have to do at least one more bag, run to Wal-Mart, and introduce 2 more people to geocaching. DD has a yard sale and car wash today to help raise money for cheer camp. That is one thing I can say about here, I have to put out very little compared to some of you for school activites. This town believes in fundraisers. The down side is every kid knows exactly who will donate and so that same few get hit constantly. We get hit with everything from candles, to cookie dough, to pizza, to car washes. You name it, they sell it. The best thing that sells here is Krispy Kreme Donuts. I don't have to drive the hour and half to get them, I just wait and in a few days someone will be by with some. FireBranda: I am so sorry you are sick. Take your meds so you can be ready to go when ever Lil' Tink decides to greet the world. yucky: That sounds awesome! I wish we had something around here like that. I am glad you all had a great time. CT: I found Webkinz at Wal-mart here also. It is so hard not to buy them every time I go. Good luck with your geology test. My DS is having a birthday party next weekend also. All I know is that is it going to be a pool party. He is very much into airplanes, so the cake will probably be along those lines. I am making it myself. Have fun with the wedding planning. Take your time and don't let it overwhelm you. luigi'smom: WOW a caring valley for 9.99!! I can't find those deal here. The only place I have actually seen a Caring Valley pet is Cracker Barrel. DH won't let me get them because they are so much more expensive than the regular Webbies. I am going on vacation the first week in July, DH won't be with me, soooo.... you never know what I might come home with!! Hank Jr. sounds like a great name!! I have a horse named Hank. He's my wannabe clydesdale . I hope you get over your headache soon. I hate the migraines. I have had a couple and they really hurt. You just want to crawl into a very deep dark hole and never come out. Angel: One down 2 to go and IF I have time I just may throw in a purse. Have fun with the family. AgtPix: Have a great day at work. Keep a smile on your face and the day should go by pretty quick. Don't think of the column as a missed opportunity, think of it as an opportunity for a random act of kindness! Moxie: You are absolutely right! Brussels is the capital of Belgium. Go figure. Hope you got it right! Sound like you and Pix had fun. I like that game also. The kids play it with me. They usually win though! But then again, what do I know about fashion? If it isn't jeans and a t-shirt I don't wear it. aibowers: Hope all have fun today, it sounds like a blast.
Well I guess that catches me up. If I missed anyone I am sorry. I really need to get the day started if I hope to complete anything!
Ok, I just got enough tokens to get the bumper car or the countdown clock!! Which one is better? In your opinion. I've found that the judges usually like the rare items (rabbit ears, hippo hat, Santa) and the raincoat items. I don't know why...
And pink. The judges like pink. | | | 06-20-2009, 10:02 AM | #5104 | very addicted to Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,220 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Well, when we woke up this morning it was raining again. It has stopped at the moment, and we hope it stays clear so we can head out around lunch time. But they are calling for an 80% chance of rain all day today, bummer. Angel: I completely agree, enough is enough with the rain it needs to stop. While we were out lastnight, we left a note for my mom to spin the wheel of Deluxe for DS2B, since she was here watching baby girl. Well, even though she was on the computer and we had a big note on the computer, she forgot or had some excuse that baby was fussy. The wheel was on for an hour, no excuses for her!!! She is still giving some lame excuse about not going on her account, but I catch her playing practicially the same games on a regular game website. I get on her all the time about it, but we are just taking her account from her, Agtpix: hope you have a nice first day at work. Drink plenty of coffee. Luigi’s mom: I got my caring valley poodle for $10.99, right now it is put away. But I took the Caring Valley tag. Moxie & Trapper: I love playing Supermodelz, I agree the judges like pink. Ok, I am going to get ready, just in case the rain goes away. | | | 06-20-2009, 03:44 PM | #5105 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 5,583 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Apparently I get to spend Father's day showing my dad how to use all of the bells and whistles on his new car. His died this week, and he'd been wanting a new one. To my surprise he bought a minivan. I asked him if he was going to get a DVD player for the kids and he said no. Apparently it came with one, along with GPS and a few other gadgets I'll have to show him how to use.
I am such a webkinz addict...
Okay, I go to the store to buy a card and gift bag for Father's Day. And I drive by the drug store and dollar store that are conveniently near home and go to a store ten minutes away (which of course had nothing to do with the fact that I found out they sell webkinz). And when I get there they have all of the new ones, for $12.95. Not a bad price, so I tell myself I could get one. So I picked out the zebra and take it (along with the card and giftbag, I didn't completely forget why I was there) to the register. Come to find out everything in the store is on sale. The webkinz were 30% off... so the webkinz was $9.07 + tax. So I bought a springer spaniel too. I am such an addict. Zulu the Zebra
I have to adopt right away. I can't hold onto them. Unless they are going to be POTM, than I put them in a drawer to avoid temptation.
I did manage to resist a cherry blossom bird and a jack russell terrier. So I'm not totally hopeless. Some of those viruses are nasty. Luigi my DH gets sinus headaches. Hope you are on the mend. CT good luck on the geology exam. Music and geology…interesting mix. The party sounds like it will be a blast for the kids and grownups too. You have lots of changes coming up with graduation, marriage and a move. True lots of stress, but very exciting too! It’s great that you are getting started on your plans for the wedding. My Mom and I had a lot of fun planning my wedding. I was married between my sophomore and junior year of collage. That was great. The stress came from the hour commute each day and heavy class loads for two years. Still married to the same guy and it will be 32 years next week. For all of you with rain today...we have SUN! We had some flooded roads last night, but sunshine today! Hope it travels to where you are. Have a great Saturday no matter the weather. Moxie great webbie buys. At that price I would have bought another too. I know I couldn’t have resisted the cherry blossom bird. She tops my list. I am trying to be good. My favorite store has an anniversary coupon June 29 & 30…10% off your entire purchase. Then I have a 25% off coupon for any one item for in July. My plan for the 25% off is the signature raccoon. I am trying to cut out my “fun” spending so I have the extra bucks to spend then. Right now I have 14 webbies, but only 8 are adopted and they are not even hidden. I have to have everything set in my mind before I adopt. I will be so glad when they don’t plop a room down anymore! It always messes me up… especially the doors. I love their names, Lexie and Zulu AgtPix I hope you have a great first day. Positive…coffee lots and lots of really good coffee. Trapper when you talk about making a backpack I have to laugh. I can sew a button on but not much else. I swear the sewing machine I had snarled at me, so I gave it away. That is what I love about PAWs everyone has different talents. Ask me how to make something in the kitchen, no problem. I love to cook, bake and try new recipes. Angel I can just see your DH getting all those chores done. Too, too funny! Have a great party. Thinking of you Tink. Rest up and take care. Luckily I don't have that problem anymore.
I need to dig up more gems to trade with Doug, but in the meantime this is what my room looks like:
I "borrowed" the train idea from CheekyDB.
