Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am just glad to be here. Yesterday evening was quite hectic for us. We had some severe storms here last night. At one point we had to run because of a tornado, then when we ran we seemed to head right into another one. Fortunately the tornado did not touch down here, but there was some damage of trees and power lines. Woke up to beautiful weather and the pool on the cusp of overflowing. We have 30% chance of rain again today. Hopefully they won't be to bad.

So how was everyone else's evening?

Hello everyone, it seems I get to come back on and life takes me away again. I will be at Girl Scout Day camp for the next few days and will be on very restrictive on-line time as a result.

Older one started therapeutic day camp today (which she will miss while at Girl Scout day camp) and came home - smiling and bubbly! WOW. The TSS situation isn't straightened out yet, but the rude one that came last week will not be coming back at all. The one that they are now thinking of sending is very nice and works well with others.

I will try my best to check in late in the evenings the next few days, but they will be starting VERY early and going till late in the afternoon, then home to cool off, clean, cook, and try to get some rest for the next one.

Please help in wishing the rain stays away until after 4pm each day (when most of the events will be wrapping up)- they are saying that we are supposed to get rain and /or thunderstorms each day (40% chance each day).

Have fun at Day Camp. I did that with my girls when they were younger. Next weekend DH is taking DS to Cub Scout Resident Camp. DH said after that he was done camping for awhile! I always had fun with the girls. I am sure you will to, and yes it is exhausting! I am sending good thoughts your way that the rain stays away from you and me

Yeah, my car is back...missed my sunroof more than I expected. The repair was minor, they did an alignment and a lovely wash job too. They even vacuumed the inside! super nice and polite when I went to pick it up. All in all, Wonderful service! I know where I will go if I ever need anything done again.
Thanks goodness this day is drawing to a close. Long and tedious it was and hard to be excited about work today.

aibowers, I need to take your lead and always have stuff listed on eBay. I had things on a regular basis, but around the New Year kind of let it fizzle out and now like I said, a whole box of stuff to list. I am relatively sure it will all sell so when it does, I will have some money to play with.

Good for DS2B, he is working to make the money he needs; I hope everything sells and he gets a great box with extra good items for the codes.

Personally, I would pass on the lil’ Kinz unicorn, to expensive for me especially since it has no tag. I found one here for 6.99 plus tax. Tax here is 6% so $7.41 out the door. Not the pet I was looking for but a good buy and they had at least a dozen and half, so they are around. Sometimes, when I find the hard to find pets, I feel like I should buy them all and put them up on eBay for others to purchase.


trapper, wow, sounds like a good time ~ except the rain. I grew up camping ~ loads of fun ~ but soaking wet ground is no fun. It is great that you all had the room already; hard to find one when everyone is looking for one. Yeah, on the TC items, although sometimes I wish there were less posters and clothing.

Moxie, thanks for the idea….at this point we will try anything to break the coin craze. Do not get me wrong the coins make a nice stash, kind of like a savings account that we can draw on for when we are short for a rare we want. However, it is bad when that is what you expect and what you get. Plus, the littlest one is never excited by a coin.

AngelsMom, Of course, we always put the children first…that is what makes us good moms, right? We have not had any TC4s here, but it seems that most people get lots of clothes and posters…not really our favorites so we may pass on the series. We love the TC1 and TC2 cards because of the Garden Gamers furniture and the Classic Gaming furniture. In addition, we have gotten lots of cash from those cards and the occasional glam boutique bags are nice since you can choose “cool” clothes as DS says. I feel you when you say that it sometimes more exciting before you open the cards...DS bought two packs the other day and two out of 5 of his feature codes gave him virtual card packs, wow was he disappointed.

Good luck to all the kiddos on their exams. I wish them peace, calm, clear thoughts, and total recall.
meows, Glad to hear that DD#1 had a good day camp experience. Even better that the rude one is gone, hope you get the very nice one. What a blessing that would be.

Yay! I am glad you got your car back. Thank goodness it was only slight damage. I understand about missing the sun roof. We just sold our car to DD last week, so now she has my sunroof!

Good decision on the Lil' Kinz Unicorn. I would not pay that much for a Lil' Kinz to begin with, and the fact that it had no tag NO WAY.

Pix: Come back when you have time. I find myself doing the same thing ALOT. I seem to have enough time to get on and read, but either no time or energy to answer. I really want the deluxe membership also, but just can't fit it into the budget right now.

Good Morning Everyone

I guess I thought Safetytown was a nationwide program, so I did't explain. It is a 2 week 2 hour a day program designed to teach preK children the fundamentals of safety. It is staffed with teachers from the local school system, a police officer, and jr high and high scool student volunteers (big DD is volunteering). The curriculum includes fire prevention, school bus safety, electrical hazards, bicycle and pedestrian safety. They also get into dangers of talking to strangers and dangers of medicine and poisons. They have a town where the children drive cars (big wheels) to simulate traffic and teach the children how to cross streets at the traffic lights. They also have films and classroom instruction and also bring in guest speakers, firemen, police officers and paramedics. All of my children have gone and it is a very valuable learning experience.

Auntie2 Lawn mowing, I'm with Trapperskid, I don't know how to turn on the lawn mower. With my allergies I really couldn't do it anyway but yardwork and I don't get along. I figure I have enough to do inside, I don't go outside looking for more work.

Webkinzlover How great to have your car back! I know what you mean about the missing the sunroof, we just bought a car and DH didn't want one in the new car, but I sure do miss having one. Congrats on the adoptions, a hedgehog and a Bengal tiger, they are both so cute. We have the hedgehog, but I have been looking for the Bengal tiger for a while, guess I have to go on ebay. Blue gift boxes, try Moxie's suggestion, it has worked for us, too.

Aibowers Hope baby girl isn't too uncomfortable with the new tooth. Congrat to DH2B on the home run, way to go! Ebay buyers remorse, I think we've all had at one time or another, just don't get too anxious, they have lots of pets for sale, there will always be another one available. Also check the closed listings for what you want to buy, it will give you an idea of what the going rate is.

Trapperskid Sounds like you had a super weekend, hard to get back to life at home. Thanks for the info on geocaching, I have heard about it, but did't know of anyone who had actually done it, sounds like lots of fun. How scary about those tornados, keep safe.

Angelsmom Best wishes to the kids on their exams, hope they do well. Oh the joys of summer vacation, mine are already making me crazy with "I'm bored" Those TC cards, they do give out too many posters and clothes. If I get a couple of posters I stop entering codes and try again later, sometimes the prize pool will get better.

HoosierDaddy Congrats on your throne, that last star can be a real stinker. Now you get to start all over for the next one.

Meowsrus Fingers crossed for sunny skies, glad the girls are having a great time. Hope you are doing a little better too.

AgtPix Glad you enjoyed your lazy weekend, you sure deserved it after the week you had at work. We love our deluxe membership, just got little DD a griffin with the bonus points

My uncle used to tell us an overfull pool was a sign that the pool needed someone to come swimming….

Gabsmom, I have never heard of Safety Town but your description sound fantastic. I did an internet search and it does not seem to be in my area but I plan on calling the local police and school district and any one else I can think of to see if hopefully, they have it or something similar in my area.

The hedgehog plushie is really cute, Miss Ma’am found it at the store and we waited to find a name. The other day, when she said she wanted to adopt it and I said we still needed a name she said, “She has a name.” **Hands on hips, head cocked to the side, one eye raised** “Don’t you know? Her name is Henrietta.” I got that look you get when it is obvious you should know something that you don’t. She then proceeds to tell me that the Bengal tiger told her his name is Tonio and he needs to be adopted. Where she came up the names really is beyond me. We do not know anyone with either of those names….

I was so surprised to have missed my sunroof...this is the first car I have had with one and what a difference it makes. Now I do not want to be without one ever again.

What's funny is I could swear that several of my webbies told me their names. Too funny. She could have heard the names in a book or a TV show.

Well, we got only TCs today. I got 4 packs with: monkey & monkey balloons, fluffingtons marble bust, Fluffingtons Antique Armchair and Poncho’s shawl. DS2B got: 2 posters, TC sandals and little cousin got a poster in her cards. Not great stuff, but not bad stuff either. I like my prizes.
The Lil’kinz unicorn did have tags, but I passed away. I do have a new pet on the way, can’t wait to see what I get.
Gabs: Baby girl didn’t fuss much at all with the new tooth, not like a lot of babies do. You really wouldn’t have been able to tell she was teething. Safetytown sounds great! Hope little one enjoys it.
