Plus if you play silently hubby's and others don't know what you are doing unless they are watching. I play on WW muted because my husband laughs at me, and the voices get annoying.
I know what you mean zephyr, about all the money you end up spending. I feel bad and then I think well DH golfs, buys tools, has some daddy pops and I don't. It's so nice to know you are not alone in your addiction lol Hubby used to complain but last night as I ran through all the dailies my kids missed and grabbed the 10 pm hourly for mine, then did the Euro for the next on my other, he just chatted away with me, while I went about doing my things and he never said a word lol
He just knows it's not even worth the breath anymore
I often play without any volume because I have the tv on at the same time lol | | | 09-17-2008, 09:41 AM | #23 | maryan Gift Trainee Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 187 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Hello, I am MaryAn and I am a webkinz addict. I am an adult with 4 grown children. I babysit for 3 little girls and 2 years ago I bought them their first webkinz. WELL... we put them on the computer and for the first 3 months, I would help them earn KC and decorate. My youngest daughter thought they were so cute, so she bought me my very own Webkinz. It was a black lab that I named Wrigley (Chicago Cubs fan) SOOO I totally got hooked and to make a long story short, I now have way too many stuffed animals in my house. I continue to buy them for the little girls too. But I know in my heart that I am more addicted to playing on WW then they are. Oh well, it is fun and harmless and I just love all of it. I do so wish that I could get into the clubhouse because I met another mom while playing pool. We had a great time using kinzchat trying to figure out that we were both moms. One day when I was checking WI, I saw Jackie had posted something and that is how we now communicate. I think this site is great. We can use the private messaging to keep in touch. But I do miss playing pool with her Trevissa and I hope that one day I will again get to get into the clubhouse. Well I now have to go to work in the real world. Webkinz is down right now, so I will hope when I get home, there are some great changes. Take care all of you moms, grandmas, aunts,..... We could be spending are free time doing weirder things then playing games and decorating our Webkinz homes. I am maryan and I love webkinz. Thanks for great thread idea. tata for now | | | 09-17-2008, 09:43 AM | #24 | Lil Kinz Join Date: Sep 2008 Posts: 9 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Oh I so belong here!! We started buying Webkinz to reward good behavior and good grades in school for our edit ages old boys. Since they couldn't read everything, at first (good learning tool) I had to help... well I was hooked! The boys bought me the white yorkie "Trixie" for mother's day! Of course I'm still in their accounts helping them out, and my husband relentlessly teases me that the 3 us are crazy, but I have seen him wanting to help the boys with theirs when I'm not around, just don't think he would ever admit it! It's fun, educational (reading practice) and better than all the violent video games! (sorry not trying to bash) For your online safety, we ask our members not to post ages, grades, email adresses, names of schools, cities or any other personal information. Thank you so much and please enjoy the discussion. (Gingerly) Last edited by Gingerly; 09-17-2008 at 02:59 PM.. I put it this way to non-webkinz people. It's like playing sims on the computer, you get to have a job, get money, spend it and socialize. So I'm addicted to webkinz there are grown men addicted to play station and x-box, most of them are playing rock band in their basemants dreaming that they could have made it big. I know..I know I am just sustifying my addiction..but it doesn't consume me...honest! | | | 09-17-2008, 11:05 AM | #26 | ants to hug a Gift Guru Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 14,417 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz This site has been a great support to all of us. It helps knowing we're not alone. I love the humor and fun that I have with my new friends here. The chats are wonderful although I generally chat on the GE DCT because it's way slower than the general DCT.
We do need to remember that while we can share are own first names and ages we can't share our kids' names or ages. If we have done that we can edit our post and remove the info. | | | 09-18-2008, 11:28 PM | #27 | ants to hug a Gift Guru Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 14,417 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Any other parents/aunts/grandmas addicted to webkinz? | | | 09-19-2008, 03:39 PM | #28 | amarta Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 281 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz It is so great too see that there are so many of us, but keep them coming | | | 09-25-2008, 08:15 PM | #29 | ants to hug a Gift Guru Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 14,417 | Re: Parents Addicted to Webkinz Come out and share.... we know you're out there! I am suffering from a case of Fall Fest withdrawl, so much so that i was at work and opened the internet and an ad for Travelocity popped up with a floating hot air balloon, out of shear reaction i went to click on the "leaf". I started laughing when I realized what I was about to do. Thankfully no one heard or saw me. | | | | | | Tags | *chokes on tag*, clublab30 gotz a tag!, coolnesstasticallicious!♥, dee<3 web-babiez, fuzzy hugs from mimzy, mouse noms on tags, mylovezweb-babiez, nicky and kristina, noah and monica, parents who play (:, pinkywinky32 was here, smiles are contagious, smookie was here | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
