I have a question... In Eragon (I'm reading the Trilogy soon-to-be cycle again) where Eragon sees the Star Sapphire the first time, so heres my question. Christopher tells how the sapphire was dawn-red, but arn't sapphires blue?

I think he made i red because he wanted it to be cool and different.
