They will insert a new wire- and you get your colors changed- it is recommended that you take motrin or some other type of aspirin before hand.
I know this isn't braces related- but it is teeth related- I got my cavities filled today and I have to go back again for them to fill more- I mean everything was okay- but the shots really stung- I really don't want to go back- Braces are so much better than getting cavities filled.

I agree, cavity fillings hurt worse.  Good luck with it, hope it doesn't hurt too bad! | | | |

Yeah spacers hurt some people a lot. They didn't really hurt me though; my teeth were already pretty spaced.  | | | |
