I think maybe you should spend some on the things you want at GracieGrace. Just make you you LOVE IT before you buy it!
But I think you should mostly spend it on your debt. I'm trying to pay off all of my debt before I do anything else; I just want that to be paid and done!

I found these tricks on a website. These tips and tricks are for Animal Crossing City Folk:

Alternate clothing change sound:
Equip one of the Zap Suits and the sound changes into a heroic fanfare.

New message notice:
A canary will perch on top of the the Message Board outside of the Town Hall if you have an unread message there.

Duplicate item trick:
Note: This requires an online connection and access to a friend's town for assistance. Go to your friend's town with the item to be cloned in your pockets. Drop the item to be cloned on the ground, then immediately pick it back up. Have your friend save the game session. Drop the same item again. Go to the gate and ask to go home. When Copper (the dog on the right) says "Well then <name >" reset your Wii or press "Home" and exit the game. Restart the game and check your pockets. The item should be there and also be duplicated on the ground in your friend's town. Go back to your friend's town and collect the other item, or leave it for your friend.

Red Turnips:
On a random day after connecting to Wi-Fi, you might receive a letter in the mail that is totally blank. The letter contains a present that is a glitched Red Tulips furniture item. Do not place it in your home. If you do, the tulips will disappear and the location where you placed them cannot be used ever again. When you get these tulips, it is best to delete the message, or plant them outside, then pick them up again. They will then become normal red tulips. If you place them in your house, it is recommended that you restart your town.

White turnips that last forever:
On Sundays in the morning, Joan the turnip seller will come to your town. Buy as many White Turnips as possible, preferably in stacks of 99. If the turnips stay in your inventory until the following Sunday, they will rot and die and you will be unable to sell them to Tom Nook. However, if you want your turnips to live forever there is an easy way to do this. First, go into your house and go next to a table that can have items placed on it. Drop a tool item (fishing rod, shovel, axe, etc.) under you. Go into your inventory and drop the desired amount of turnips. If done correctly, the turnips should land on the table and stay there. Because they are not in your pockets, they will not rot and die. When Tom Nook has good prices for the Stalk Market, collect the turnips from the table and sell them.

Running through a friend:
When playing with a friend, you can run though each other. This also happens when a friend is talking to an animal and the other runs into them on the other friend's screen. It appears that the running character is just standing there. When running through the two talking characters, you can run though the animal. If done correctly, you can stand where the animal is, and it will look as if you are talking to the other person.

Stay in the Able sister's shop after closing time:
Walk into the Able Sisters shop at 10:58 p.m. You can now stay in the shop for as long as desired.

Shoot through Town Hall:
Equip a slingshot and go to the Town Hall. Go to the door but do not get too close. Shoot when you are just under the edge of the part that sticks out. It will go through a solid part of the Town Hall. Move closer to shoot through it better.

Move through stairs:
Push one of your visitors to the stairs. If done correctly you should have run through it.

Locked doors:
Select a locked door thirty times. It will say "The door is locked" or whatever when you select your door. Save the game to get out of it.

Unmarked package:
If Action Replay codes for the game too much, Nintendo will send you an unmarked package. This is extremely annoying because afterwards Tom Nook will not trade with you until you deliver it. However, you cannot deliver it. You must start your town over or use Action Replay to sell your hacked Royal Crowns to the Able Sisters or on Wi-Fi.

Unlimited Royal Crowns:
When you get the Royal Crown at the Able Sisters, buy it then save and end the game. Turn off the DS and change the time to midnight. Play the game, then save and turn it off again. Change the time to 12 p.m. and play again. There should be another crown at the Able Sisters that you can buy. Note: You will need at least 1,200,000 bells for each crown.

Stuck in the hole:
Note: This has the same affect as the Pitfall. Dig a hole. Dig in the same location for ten days. On the eleventh day, walk over the same spot where you have been digging. You will fall in and you cannot get out.

Predicting a sea bass:
This glitch allows you to learn if the fish that you are catching is a Sea Bass. Go to the sea with your fishing pole equipped. Find a fish, and cast your rod. Once the fish takes the bait, try to reel it in. Normally, when your pressing the button repeatedly reeling the fish in, you will hear splashing noises as the fish is struggling. However if it is a Sea Bass, sometimes that little sound effect will not be played at all. If you do not any splashing noise, just let the fish go if you do not want to catch a Sea Bass. Note: This only occurs about 60% of the time, and only with the Sea Bass.

Disappearing bottle mail:
Buy Bottle Mail from Tom Nook. Select the "Write a message" option but leave it blank. Go to a bridge in your town. Go to the edge opposite of the way the way the river is flowing. Release the bottle. It should go under the bridge. Your character will turn 180 degrees as if watching it flow away. If done correctly, the Bottle Mail will not reappear from under the bridge.

Flying lights:
During bright lights, all pine trees in your town are decorated. If you shake one of them, the lights will stay in the same position, but the tree sways back and forth.

Witch's hat:
Buy a Witch's Hat from the Able Sisters and wear it. Then, go to your town gate. Using your stylus, run full speed at Copper. If done correctly, Copper's mouth should have gone through your hat.

Ignored by Tom Nook:
If another person comes to your town and you go into the store, Tom Nook will not talk to you when you enter and leave the store.

Instant tile change:
Go to the gate keepers and talk to Booker. Ask to change the flag. Put on the design that is on your floor tiles. Afterwards, change the flag again to another design. However, do not swap it -- change it instead. When you go out you will see that your tiles have changed.

Thanks for the tricks! I have a question- Are there any tips to getting the golden watering can? I really want but i can not ever seem to get it. Another question- Can you really get a golden limmo by filling the recycling can with trash? Thanks!!!

Just look up "Perfect Town Guide" On the internet. You must keep your town in "Perfect" condition for a while. Then, ask Pelly about the environment, she'll give it to you...(hopefully)!
