Ooh! I lost my glasses. I was spinning, and they fell off....ooh! then I got smacked my my pencil cup I had knocked over.

OMG yesterday we were playing football in gym class, and I was chasing down my friend because she had the ball, and I totally wiped out on the gym floor, but no one except for my friend saw so I got up really fast and hoped no one would notice. And then after the game my friend comes up to me and goes (very loudly), "HEY, ARE YOU OKAY? YOU FELL PRETTY HARD THERE." And everyone turned to look at me and... yeah. It wasn't fun.

Oooo... I hope your friend wasn't trying to be mean. If my friend did that, they would have been secret about it.
Today I didn't really do anything clumsy at all, yay for me!

School last week wasn't good at all. I kept walking into random people, I knew my cheeks were burning red

Okay, story from me.

Last night, my asthma was acting up, so I was walking downstairs to get my inhaler. I was fooling around when I was tired, which means walking backwards. I ended up walking into the vacuum cleaner and tripping over it, landing on my behind.

Several years ago I had a 'new job' - when I was talking to my boss I sat on the edge of the chair - and SLIPPED forward off of the chair - he laughed a bit - I was embarressed, and then we continued on with our meeting.... oh my!! He ended up being my favorite boss!!


I was in my Freshman year of college and some guys were driving around campus in a convertable car with one of those water sprayers - and they sprayed me in front of everyone. I thought I would die of embarressment.... how awful. I was all wet, and everyone on the street walking to class from the dorms could see me. I went to my room and got dressed, and I put on a cute outfit - but it hurt that they rejected me as a person with value. I avoided people like that and made my own small circle of friends who stood by me in thick and thin.


I was in the 3rd grade and I had been sent out to sit in the hall for talking (this was a long time ago, I don't think they do this anymore!!) -- I had to go *** and I held as long as I could - I had on this wide skirt dress - and the boy I was talking to in class was there with me... any way I went right there in a big puddle! and then I had to go to the school nurse to call my mother to bring me a change or clothing or to take me home. I got teased about that for two years!! And I had a crush on that boy too!! Now I can laugh about it -- but at the time it was sad.


I am not very good at sports... we were learning about football and rules and playing tag football. Since I was not working out as a player, they made me one of the referees... on the lines... and I kept moving BOTH poles at each play / down, instead of just ONE pole, SO THE TEAM COULD NEVER EVER MAKE A 1ST DOWN!! -- the teacher finally figured it out.... I really did not get it at all....

In Junior High we were learning to play golf and I stood too close to another student and got hit in the head with a golf club. I blacked out for a little bit - and had to be observed for a concussion! I felt really stupid....


When I had my first serious boyfriend, he was JV basketball - and when we sat together for varsity name we got teased - and well, it was rather awkward! He was in my church youth grouip and we did better around our close friends than doing school dances or going to games.


I survived Middle School and College - somehow - and survived to be an adult. For the teachers who thought I was too stupid... I finished my degree. And when my exhusband would not let me return to college, after the divorce, I got my Master's degree with all A's with a 4.0 GPA.

I used what others said about me to prove to them that I could do it! I worked hard, it was not easy... and their words hurt me ... gossip hurts!! gossip is the worst thing.... it took a long time, and sometimes what is said still hurts me... but I have learned that people who THINK like that are untruthful, and that I do not have to believe what they think about me.... or receive it!

When I went to my high school 10 year reunion it was so liberating - I realized that some of these people were stuck in the past - but I had moved on and I was set free from what they said about me. The gossip did not hurt me as much anymore. I was no longer afraid of them either - some times that takes time when people have been horrible to you....

Big hug to those who have had persons deliberately tease you. I know how it feels. It hurts a lot.
