Just a little note: We (the VP and I) encourage you to have your nick name have honorifics, such as: chan, san, kun, etc. after it.
Ex: eevee-chan, e-chan. etc. So please, join in the fun! We welcome all members!
Definitions of honorifics below:

~~~~~~~~HONORIFICS!!!~~~~~~~~

-san: This is the most common honorific, and is equivalent to Mr., Mrs., Ms., Miss, etc. It is the all-purpose honorific and can be used in any situation where politeness is required.

-sama: This is one lever higher than "-san". It is used to confer great respect.

-dono: This comes from the word "tono", which means "lord". It is even a higher level than "-sama", and confers utmust respect.

-kun: This suffix is used at the end of boys' names to express familiarity or endearment. It is also sometimes used by men among friends, or when addressing someone younger of of a lower station.

-chan: used to express endearment, mostly towards girls. It's also used for little boys, pets, and even among lovers. It gives a sense of childish cuteness.

Bozu: This is an informal way to refer to a boy, similar to the English term "kid" or "squirt".

Sempai: This title suggest that the addressee is one's "senior" in a group or organization. It's most often used in a school setting, where underclassmen refer to their upperclassmen as "sempai". It can also be used in the workplace, such as when a newer employee addresses an employee who has seniority in the company.

Kohai: This is the opposite of "sempai", and is used towards underclassmen in school or newcomers in the workplace. It connotes that the addressee is of lower station.

Sensei: Literally meaning "one who has come before", this title is used for teachers, doctors, or masters of any profession of art.

Anesan: "Anesan" (or "nesan") is a generic term for a girl, usually older, meaning "sister".

Ojou-sama: "Ojou-sama" is a way of referring to the daughter or sisiter of someone with high political or social status.

-[blank]: usually forgotten in these lists, but perhaps the most significant difference between Japanese and English. The lack of honorific means that the speaker has permission to address the person in a very intimate way. Usually, only family, spouses, or very close friends have this kind of permission. Known as yobisute, it can be gratifying when someone who has earned the intimacy starts to call one by one's name without an honorific. But when that intimacy hasn't been earned, it can be very insulting.

I bet most of you would like to know more about the author of Fruits Basket, so i did some research, and I found some interesting things!

• Natsuki Takaya's real name is Naka Hatake. Natsuki Tayaka is her penname.

• She is best-known for creating the series Fruits Basket
• She was born on July 7, 1973; her birthday corresponds with Japan's Weaver Star Festival, Tanabata
• She is a Cancer (her sign)
• Her blood type is A.
• Takaya is left-handed
• She revealed that she wanted to be a cartoonist since first grade, when her sister started drawing.

• She was born in Shizuoka, Japan, but was raised in Tokyo where she made her debut in 1992.

• She spends most of her time playing video games such as the Final Fantasy series or Sakura Wars, or working on her different manga series, such as Fruits Basket, which is the second best-selling shōjo manga ever in Japan, and the top selling shōjo manga in North America.
• Fruits Basket has also been adapted into a twenty-six-episode anime series. In 2001, Takaya received a Kodansha Manga Award for shōjo manga for Fruits Basket.

• According to Takaya (in a sidebar of a Fruits Basket manga volume), she enjoys drawing girls (girly ones) more than she does boys.

• Takaya also enjoys electronics and music, but dislikes talking about herself.

Also revealed in a sidebar of Fruits Basket, Takaya had broken her left arm (the one she draws with) after Fruits Basket volume six was published. She had to go into surgery, and as a result, had put Fruits Basket on a brief hiatus. Takaya made a full recovery, but complains that her handwriting had gotten uglier, due to the surgery.



During her hospital stay, she gained an interest in baseball.
