Welcome to the Maximum Ride Fan Club! This club is for anyone has read the Maximum Ride books, wants to read the books, is reading the books or just wants to read posts with people talking about it!
Books
Here's a summary of the book series, as told by Max:
A bunch of mad scientists (mad crazy, not mad angry - though a lot of them do seem to have anger management issues, especially around me) have been playing around with recombinant life-forms, where they graft different species’ DNA together.Most of their experiments failed horribly, or lived horribly for only a short while. A couple kinds survived, including us, bird kids, who are mostly human but with some bird DNA thrown in.
The six of us have been together for years. Fang, Iggy, and I are ancient, at fourteen years old. Nudge the motor-mouth is eleven, Gazzy is eight, Angel is six.
The other ones who function pretty well and last more than a couple of days are human-lupine hybrids, or wolf people. We call them Erasers, and they have an average life span of about six years. The scientests (whitecoats) trained them to hunt and kill, like a personal army. They’re strong and bloodthirsty but lousy about impulse control.
The six of us are on the run, trying to thwart the whitecoats’ plan to destroy us and most of humanity, which makes the whitecoats crazy. Or crazier. So they have been going to extreme and sometimes pathetic lengths to capture us.
There you have it: our lives in a nutshell. Emphasis on nut.
There are currently seven books to the series and one final book expected:

Four mangas have been released so far.
Maximum Ride: The Manga, Vol. 1

The fifth volume has been set to release on December 13, 2011. Ten volumes are expected to be published overall.
Movie
A movie has been announced, set to release some time in 2013. No offical cast or trailers have been released yet.

2. Since this is a book series with lots of plot twists and turns, don't openly post anything about the series that would spoil anything for anyone. 3. Everyone is allowed to post on whatever thread they would like, but if you honestly didn't like the series or you found major plot holes or a time line goof, please don't post here. This is a fan club for the series and there are plenty of other fan clubs so I'm sure you can find a topic to interest you.
4. Please don't just post "I LOVE MAX!" or "I HATE THE SCIENTESTS!". Instead you could write "I love Max because she is a really strong person and always thinks of the flock before herself." This example gives us a much better explanation of why you love Max, and in my personal opinion, gives everyone a much more interesting thread to read.
5. We are all here to talk about the same book series, but that dosen't mean everyone will have the same opinion. Please be respective of others' opinions.

I think Angel's dog's name was Total, Ginny.

Hey Ginny!
Angel's dog is named Total. My library has a program online that you can download books onto your computer and "check them out" for two weeks. The first two books are on there, so I can read them when ever I want! I know, lucky me.
I've actually only read the first three books, and I'm getting the next two, The Final Warning and Max, today.
