Surprise?

I was just wondering, has anyone everyone gotten to see what the surprise promised in the instructions is before? I saw that it said, if you get really far you will get a surprise. And I was just wondering if anyone knows what it is and how far you have to get.

I believe it's referring to a trophy you can win but I think that trophy is now retired, though I could be mistaken.

In most games, that's what is in the instructions. In those games, the probability of getting that trophy is like 1/100. However, some games (Zacky's Qust and Bounce 'n' Burst) will guarantee you with a trophy if you finish all the levels or complete the quest.

No one has one a zingoz bounce trophy for a while so it's hard to say if it's retired yet.

You need to click the ball 100 times in a row (w.o. dropping it) and I think you will then get a trophy. However, as I said, no one has been able to do this for a while so we don't know if the trophy is retired or not.

The game was changed about a year ago, and the script in the game that awards the trophy was removed, but unfortunately they didn't bother to fix the instructions.

Ganz claims to be aware of the issue, but they don't seem to appreciate its impact. All we can do is hope they bring the trophy back someday, or finally take the few minutes required to edit the instructions.

Just to clarify, the "surprise" is a trophy, but you CANNOT win it currently.

Hints appreciated on techniques one should use to keep the little guy in the air, and not bouncing all over the screen...

Two things work for me: clicking carefully as close to the middle of the ball as possible (left-right throws it sideways, and up-down bounces faster) because the "power" is proportional to the distance from the middle, and this proportion INCREASES as you progress. The actual base speed doesn't change, but the game gets faster because of the increasing sensitivity to off-center clicks. As you know, it is extremely hard to recapture a wild bounce, or keep it going for long. There are 20 bounces in each level, so I count and make sure I am in good control as I come up to the transition, because it often throws the timing off a bit, which is all it takes to lose control.

The other tip: a good mouse with lots of room, and a calm hand (easier said than done). Practice helps, but without a trophy, the game loses its appeal pretty quickly, IMO.

Thanks for the tips, I'll give them a try. And yes, no trophy gives little incentive to keep trying. But then, I can't get past level 17 on Candy Bash, so even the incentives don't seem to help me much.

The lack of trophy is a real downer for this game. I would play it so much if the trophy were made available again. It's sad that Ganz seems to place very little value on the thrill of winning trophies. No new games with trophies have been released in over a year. I want a challenge with a payoff that I can put in my room.
