Hole #10 is a par three that starts from a slightly raised tee and has a dogleg left. Very easy to get a birdie on this one.
Use full power on the first shot and you must line up the aiming arrow so that it is touching, or even slightly inside of, the power indicator. The closeup picture below shows the exact setting.

.
.
What the tee shot will do is bounce off the long barrier wall and go just beyond the dogleg corner.

.
.
Looking at where the ball ended up rolling, in the picture below, you can see why it was so important to have the arrow aimed on/inside the power indicator. Any less angle and you would not be clear of the dogleg corner for the next shot to the cup.

.
.
The 2nd shot does still present one problem. The golfer's image will obscure your view toward the cup, making it very difficult to see if your shot is online correctly.
.
.
But, by pressing the shift key on your computer keyboard, the golfer disappears (like I've done in these pictures) and you can see the line to the cup easily. That makes this a 'two-handed' golf shot.
.
.
Now, use about 70% power, line it up toward the cup, putt and...

.
.
it's another birdie!! | | | 08-07-2007, 12:10 PM | #22 | Guest | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" elubin has listing to | | | | 08-07-2007, 02:58 PM | #23 | 2uncleBert, Bert2466 Gift Guru Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 2,785 | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" Originally Posted by thundybear elubin has listing too Yes, that is true. But, those hints are very brief, with just one or two pictures per hole, and no closeups at all.
The tips posted here are more detailed than the ones elubin has.
The strategies that I will eventually post for holes #15, #16 and #18 are, in my opinion, much better than the difficult ones that he shows there.
I have tried all of his ideas and do use many of them. Some of the postings I made here, were his original ideas that I've improved after playing each hole several hundred times. | | | 08-07-2007, 03:55 PM | #24 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 265 | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" These are great tips. I love mini-golf and play at least three times a day. The tips have helped me better my score.
If you want to rack up points at golf and you are good at it, play both characters. The one thing I have noticed is that if you have a good shot on the first player--say you get that hole in one on Hole 2--if you do not move your mouse when the second player pops up then you can just click the mouse button and you will get the same exact shot as the first player. __________________

The toughest holes are the upper nine, so keeping looking here for my tips and strategies on each of those!!!

Excellant point, ShadowLass!!
That tactic duplicates the first golfer's good shots and you can make adjustments, with the 2nd player, if the first shot was slightly off. Also, makes a two-player game go much faster than two single games.

Ohhh, sorry you are too busy to help out anymore, ADR1. I will try to continue this thread of golf tips to the end. | | | 08-07-2007, 07:43 PM | #27 | 2uncleBert, Bert2466 Gift Guru Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 2,785 | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" More tips from a top Mini-Golf player.
Here is a strategy guide for hole #11 of Mini-Golf.
This is the first of the Mini-Golf holes with multiple greens. The challenge is for players to get the ball into a first hole and then the ball goes to a new area that has the final cup in it.
The best strategy for the beginning green (shown below) is to deliberately miss the hole closest to the tee!! Instead, you should get the ball into the back hole there.
So, use full power and aim well off to the right -- the top of the right barrier bump is the target in this picture below.

.
.
That shot should get the ball into the first valley and probably lying about 1/3rd of the way between that first hole and the right side barrier.
Use 80% power (no less or the ball will not clear the next ramp) and aim at the left edge of the hole in the back of the green, just like in the picture below.
Before clicking, it may be necessary to make a small adjustment to your aim. If the ball is closer to the side barrier than in the picture below (more to the right) move the aim a little bit right too. If it is further left, than adjust your aim a bit to the left.

.
.
What should happen is the ball will go over the bump, bounce off of the left wall and roll back down into the hole.

.
.
Now click and the ball should sink into the back hole, come out in the 2nd green area (see picture below) --

.
.
-- and roll right into the cup for a birdie!

.

Hole #12 is a par 3 with a dogleg to the right. The problem is getting around the two barrier blocks in the middle of the course.
Use full power for the tee shot and aim like in the close-up picture below. Unfortunately, it is hard to describe the exact target where that arrow is pointing -- it is on a line that would go just right of the large red flower. The ball will hit the barrier at a spot that is in front of the center of the park bench.

.
.
Fortunately, the putt doesn't need to be perfectly aimed. What you are trying to do is get the ball to bounce off of that upper barrier and go into the corner 'box' at the top of the course. So, aim the best that you can and fire away!

.
.
The next picture shows the most ideal position of the ball that can happen from that tee shot. It is just touching the interior barrier block. If that is what happened, then these are the settings to use for putt two. Use no more than 40% power and aim so the arrow tip is exactly in the dark part of the barrier side wall, as shown in the closeup below.

.
.
But, you might have ended up at two other places by the barrier block -- either further back or not quite touching the barrier block. For both of those positions, use a little more than 40% power -- and aim a little bit higher, with part of the arrow tip just slightly above the dark part of the barrier wall. Only very small adjustments.
What the ball should do, from both of those settings, is bounce off the side wall, roll through the valley, go up the back hill and then back down into the cup. So, cross your fingers and then click.

.
.
Here is the ball rolling back down the hill and...

.
.
into the cup for another birdie!!! | | | 08-14-2007, 08:03 PM | #30 | Guest | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" thanks for the tips im gonna play mini gold right now Last edited by Unregistered; 07-06-2009 at 11:05 AM.. | | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
