# Of Shots: 1 (Hole In One)

Strategy: You want to aim this one perfectly straight and give it 7/8 to full power. Anything less will stop short. To me, "straight" looks a little crooked, but try and match the angle of your arrow to the angle of the walls or your "starting pad" and you'll be set!

At that speed it will bounce off of the far wall more than wanted.
And, if the shot is angled down a bit more, the ball will end up closer to the hole up on the ramp. The 2nd shot is a tough uphill putt so you should get as close as possible on the first stroke.
Use only 1/3 power and line up your putt as shown in the screen pic below. Your putt should hit the far wall and bounce back just enough to line up even with the hole up above the ramp.

.
.
Shot two, use about 80% power -- any more and a missed shot will bounce off the upper barrier and back down again. Any less and it won't make it up the ramp.
Line the putt up exactly parallel with the side barrier, like in the picture below, and it should go into the hole.
But, if your first putt didn't bounce back exactly even with the hole, you will have to adjust slightly right or left in shot #2 -- only make a very small adjustment.

I am going to show you mine now because I have my pics and strategy all ready. Let's see how they compare.
Hole #5 is a par 3 with an uphill ramp. A birdie is fairly easy to make. I know two different ways to do this. I'm only showing the one that I think most people can safely do -- the other one (using the low bypass route) is a much tougher shot to repeat each time.
Use full power and aim on a line toward the upper left corner of the interior barrier, as shown in the screen pic below. The putt will get you up the hill and in good position for your next shot.

.
.
Shot two, be sure to use only 50%-60% power. Aim exactly for the spot where the dark green grass and far right barrier corner meet, just like in the picture below. A long putt down the hill and it just rolls into the cup.

By the way, notice the score in the upper right of the screen pics. I had made birdies on each of the previous holes (4 holes, 5 points each = 20 points) in this tournament round.
I ended up shooting a -19 under par which gave me a final score of 101 (my best is 103). | | | 07-30-2007, 09:58 AM | #9 | Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 1,988 | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" No my hole 3 is very effective I believe but, excuse me if I am off a little. | | | 07-30-2007, 11:50 AM | #10 | Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 412 | Re: [Verified] Minigolf "Hole By Hole" thanks for the tips! | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
