Most of us, in mini golf, have hit a ball, only to find it get stuck in a barrier, in between two greens, fly over walls, hit the wall and come out somewhere else, etc. The random tunnels, where you hit the ball without paying too much attention, and when you go back to see what happened, you can't figure it out. Some of them are helpful, some not so much.
Hole 12:
The ball goes through the tunnel, and comes out the corner on the top right. It's probably easier to just turn around and hit the putt into the hole, but who likes to do things the easy way . After coming out of the top corner, it will still go into the hole for the birdie or par, depending on how many shots it took to get down there. If you miss the tunnel, don't worry, the ball will bounce off the wall, go across the top of the hole, bounce off the other wall, and still go in the hole anyway(If you can understand that).
Hole 14:
Once you get the ball into this area, it's hard to have it go through all the way to the hole. If you get it through that tunnel, though, it comes up right in front of the hole for a nice little par(Where the white ball is). It is possible to birdie this hole, but it is one of the harder ones. There's an excellent guide at the top of the mini golf forum that tells you how to if you want to learn. There's another tunnel on hole 14, at the second green bush in my picture. If you get it into that one instead, the ball comes out near the hole, but will never go into it. I believe there's more tunnels for this hole, but i don't know exactly where they are.
Hole 16:
This hole is just weird. I've gotten stuck in barriers and stuck in between greens. I've gotten birdies, eagles, and pars.
Stuck in the barrier:
This happens when you play 2 player. If the ball lands by the barrier where mine is stuck, and you go to your other player, when you come back the ball will be stuck. An easy way to avoid this is to go for the eagle. If you miss the eagle, the ball will go in the hole anyway, and so there's no getting stuck in the barrier at all .
It isn't important if you get slightly off on your first shot. I've hit the second shot from at least 3 different places for the eagle. You should get in the general area of where the white ball is in the above shot, though. Here's shot number 2:
If you get the shot right, you will come out on the second green:
The last shot is just angling around into the hole. Success means an eagle
Yup. Hole 16 is the only hole where i can't get it into the tunnel every time i try. The angles are just so specific.
Hole 18:
To get here, take the first shot into the back hole. You'll come out where i am in the picture. This shot has to be pretty precise, too. The ball will either bounce off the wall and back toward you, which means you missed the tunnel, or it will fly over the barrier and onto the last green(Where the white ball is in the picture). Then the last shot is the one you would take if you put it into the actual hole. An easier birdie in my opinion. Or..maybe you can't hit the angle, and you can't seem to birdie on this hole no matter what. Not to worry, there's another tunnel .
In case you can't tell, the ball being shot is the green one. If you miss the angle, like i did my first time, the ball will land near where it started, and you can do it the way you usually do.
I'm sure there are a lot more tunnels waiting to be discovered. If you know where any more are, tell me please, even if you don't know exactly where just what hole. I hope you found this helpful. It can't improve your score on every hole, but maybe it can help with one or two. |
