Goober's lab scoring

I just started playing this game ( and am hooked on it already)...

But I cannot figure out how the bonus numbers are calculated... as sometimes it is more, somtimes less, but does not seem connected to the amount of 4's or 5's or what is left on the screen...

Does anyone know the pattern?

You got me on that one, AmyCT. I'm just thrilled that it's back up and running as I am, as you said, hooked on it as well. Perhaps some of our mathematical wizards (yes, we have those) has an answer for you . . .

If you take the number of seconds you have left and multiply by the number of the level you completed, that gives you your bonus for that level.
