When do you get candy bonus?

Has anyone determined when you get a candy for your pet to eat when playing this game, or is it totally random?

i think it is when you get a certain number of points. And by my playing experiences, you get it at 2000 points. Also, when you get 5000 points, like I have, you get ann extra try. I have not yet gotten to the 10,000 point level so i am not sure whether it is every 5000 points. Hope it helps! (And if anyone can correct me on the point idea go ahead)

Just to correct myself, I found out the real answer! It is that if you get 4 in a rows a certain number of times, that candy appears in your dock!Thanks!

For me, it's random. Usually if I keep catching four in a row combos I get a few candy treats, but sometimes I don't get any. Sometimes it gives me candy for a mixed combo. I have also read that it can come from catching four candies that the bean hit with one bounce. I'm not sure there is actually any gurantee with the candy treats......
