How to score more points needs revising

I've been reading all the information about this game. We are trying to get the trophy without success, but I figure since we were playing the game we might as well get the most KC possible, so I read this very nice thread:
Booger's Best Scoring and Trophy Tactics
It was so useful and informative, thanks to Williamson_39 for all the hard work.

However, I think that at some point Ganz change something in the game because the score that I get by doing some additions does not correspond to the way it is explained in the thread.

On the very first level with the target sum of 5 this is the score I got:
5 = 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 (got 11 points)
5 = 2 + 1 +1 + 1 (got 8 Points)
5 = 3 + 2 (got 4 points)

So really, you want to use as many blocks as possible, not the least amount. Now, this makes me wonder if they also changed the way the trophy is awarded. I really want that trophy!

Wow! I never knew that! Thanks for the tip! I don't know of anyone who has gotten the trophy.

I have two trophies, but I played a lot of games to get them. I played for over 3 hours before I got the first one. I don't know about the scoring thing you discuss, but when I use as many blocks as possible I get a higher score. The higher levels are tough because the rows fall faster so then you have to go with the fastest combination you can find. There is a post about the odds of winning the trophy - I will try to find it.

Look at the Booger page under Arcade in the WI Wiki. It is very helpful. Apparently the minimum/earliest for the trophy to be awarded is on Level 6. There is also a video of a game.

Thank for the info about the trophy. I had played so many times but apparently not that many. I will hav to go back and try, hopefully one of these days it will be the game of the day so I cam also earn extra KC!
