But after many games I go with the assumtion that a face is not an option to be rerolled. It never happens. I will get the ZZZ then it goes too but the face goes away.
So when you reroll a dice you know you will get any of the options on the dice except for the face. I find this very helpful as I reroll my own dice quite often. So I try to load up my dice keeping in mind that I won't get the face as often since I reroll.
I didn't really answer your question but hope it helps. __________________ | | | 10-30-2008, 12:30 PM | #3 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 80 | Re: question about scares/faces hmm..that is just it..i do get the face sometimes, but then it vanioshes...and thanks for resopnding.. | | | 10-30-2008, 12:41 PM | #4 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 68 | Re: question about scares/faces I've played dicekinz before, and I find it a bit frustrating. I haven't played in awhile, though. | | | 10-30-2008, 09:57 PM | #5 | Gift Guru Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 1,727 | Re: question about scares/faces Originally Posted by amusedkitten hmm..that is just it..i do get the face sometimes, but then it vanioshes...and thanks for resopnding.. I see you are fairly new around here. Welcome to Webkinz Insider.
What you are encountering is just the rule on how scares work. A scare functions as a reroll with the restriction that faces cannot be the result of the reroll. The "flavor" of it is that the scary thing comes out and if the face shows up, the pet is too scared and runs off.
Any time a face is the result of the reroll you will see it show up and then get the little "halo" of scariness behind it before it disappears. This is to show you that the face was the result of the reroll. The other way they could do it would be to just have the die not reapear when the face was rolled, but that would be much more confusing.
If any other side of the die is the result of the reroll, then that side just stays around and is usable.
One implication of this is if a face is the only result from an opponent that you are concered with, you can just reroll her die and be assured that you won't have to go up against another face.
I hope this makes things clearer for you. I found scares confusing when I started playing as well. Now, I just don't like them. I think it is not a very good result to show up on your dice. | | | 10-31-2008, 10:59 AM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 80 | Re: question about scares/faces you explained it perfectly..thanks | | | 11-05-2008, 08:54 PM | #7 | call me high5 or fla Gift Guru Join Date: Dec 2007 Posts: 10,550 | Re: question about scares/faces not exactly sure ... | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
