The DiceKinz Info/Manual says that "Fly" dice don't "check if you've won until the end of the run phase". I'd always assumed that meant that if you 'flew' across the finish line during the "Jostle" phase, your opponent would still have until the end of the 'Run' phase to catch you as usual. I just discovered that this is not the case...
You apparently can't use "Fly" dice to cross the finish line AT ALL. If you are in space "19" and you use a "Fly" dice - nothing happens. You don't cross the finish line into the "20" space. Your WebKinz will stay in the "19" space, and the indicator over its head stays at "19", even after the end of the following "Run" phase...
What's more, if you are ALREADY across the finish line when you try to use a "Fly" dice, it will glitch the game and lock it up completely. ^_^ This can (obviously) only happen if you and your opponent are "tied" past the finish line at the same "number" of spaces (20 or more) and you are in a "sudden death" round, but it CAN happen. If you are in a "sudden death" tie-breaker past the finish line and you use a "Fly" dice during the Jostle phase, no more action/ready boxes will appear, and the game will simply freeze up until you click the "X" in the corner to exit (at least that's what it does to ME, anyway...).
Gotta love those DiceKinz glitches...
