How did you do that?
When I play it only goes to 20, and the most I've seen it go past so far was 24 - I don't see how you get much higher?

Am I missing something? I just started playing recently so it's possible.

My highest score on the first turn is 41. My highest overall score is probably in the fifties, possibly as high as 61, but I have not kept track.

I have not tried to max out my score over multiple turns.

Default Re: Highest Score

Yay! I got my first score of 42 on a first turn win. That's as high as my current deck will go.

I'm sorry, I should have responded about how you get higher than 20. You do it by having a very high run in one turn. It can help to be close to the goal when you have a high run. For example, say you were at space 19 and you rolled all your dice so they showed three runs. If your opponent has nothing to interfere with you, you will end up at 37.

People who do things like get to 147 are doing it by using a grow die to grow a wild card die. They then lock the wild card die in the lock box. It will retain it's new higher number. Next turn they grow it again. Once it is past size six or so it is safe from anything your opponent does other than killing it with a face. If you play with lots of dice with the block face you will probably be safe for one or two actions to grow the die, or at least you will know when you are not safe to do so and must lock it right away.

It seems sort of boring to me to grow a die this way so I have never done it. I get my thrills out of fast wins and big runs in a small number of turns.

VERY Interesting - I never thought about that - I guessed you could go up to 30 or so - but now I will have to try - just to keep the game interesting -

I find I really do enjoy the game now that I've learned it a bit.

Tnanks again for the explanation!
