I finish level 5 most of the time. I believe that 5,000 points is the highest possible score. I've achieved this by playing through the five levels on one life. However, before leaping onto the final island to complete the game, I wait for the last lily pad to disappear, causing me to lose that life. Continue doing the last level in this way until you get to the last life and then "win" by leaping onto the final island with your last life. That get's me 5,000 points and 100KC. If there is a way of getting a higher score, I'd be very interested to hear it.

Also, it is definitely worthwhile to keep "sinking" on the last lily pad on level 5 until you're down to your last life. Even if you don't make it all the way to the end with your last life, this strategy will still increase your score since there is no bonus for "finishing." Completing level 5 with fewer lives gives you no bonus and only reduces the highest possible score you could achieve.

I just got to level 4 and then i didnt make it to a lily pad
so i lost all 3 lives in the level.

level 1 is the highest .... actualy i just get to level 2 the i die
