Important question about zingoz pop

Does anyone know if you can tell when the row of solid black balls comes down (so that all of the "balloons" lower a row) in Zingoz Pop?

Are there any signs to look for?

There are 10 "hits" and then it bumps down. If you don't count them, another indication is that there is a green arrow and a whistle that sounds. The green arrow tells you that there are two more aim/hits before it goes down, and the red arrow indicates that the next hit it will bump down.

You can dissolve the chocolate coloured balls with the rainbow bonus if you chose it at the beginning of the game and you get it part way through the game, but the black balls can only disappear as the rows come down.
