I was wondering if anyone out there knows what causes the bonus to be activated. I know if you match pop the color with the "ring" around it your bonus appears, but what causes the floating "ring" to appear? Does anyone know? Let's try to figure this thing out!

Do you mean the stars that float around the bubbles? If so, I think it is a random event that happens at specific intervals. In other words, you don't have to do anything to get it to come up.

I don't know for sure, but it seems to me the faster I shoot the more I get

they aren't referring to the bonus thing on the side, they are referring to when you get your power ball, or rather the sparkly ball you have to hit to get your power

I have noticed that every now and then, but it doesn't seem to be a consistant thing for me. I was wondering if it was after you accieved a certain number of points. Or an even or odd # of points, maybe a # of points divisable by 5. I don't know. I need to start to pay really close attention when the stars start. If anybody else is interested, please help me figure this thing out. Thanks!

If you mean the star thingies around the balls you hit with hitting balls, I think those are just to get extra points. I've won the game on both levels (no trophy (I think there are 2)? ***!), so yea.
