Bounce N Burst plunger/low shelf bug fixed?

I just played a game of Bounce N Burst where I inadvertently fired the plunger onto a low shelf. Surprisingly, the game did not freeze as the plunger attached itself properly to the shelf and the game continued. Not believing that I was just lucky I didn't lose the game, I fired the plunger over and over onto the low shelf and could not get it to freeze. Later in the game, I got the plunger powerup again, so I proceeded to fire the plunger onto the low shelves endlessly, but could not get the bug to appear. In total, I must have attached the plunger to a low shelf more than 20 times without incident.

Does this mean that this annoying bug has finally been fixed? Does anyone have any recent experience to corroborate or refute this?

Follow up... After playing several more games of Bounce N Burst while being reckless with the plunger on lower shelves, I was finally able to get the game to freeze.

Looks like this was simply false hope -- the bug is still alive and kicking (or in this case, freezing).
