According to Wistcottage, her son has made a great discovery that there is in fact a trophy awarded on this hill. We will have more details on the chances for winning once we have more information. Right here is the guide for course 2 of Polar Plunge, Ice Cream Float. This course has been completed, so it is possible. No trophy was awarded to me, but the ending point is roughly the same as the third course Be very careful when attempting this course. There are MANY little speed bumbs that can esaily through you right into an obstacle if you are not paying attention. An easy strategy to get past this is to go at a comfortable pace where you can get ready for anything that is coming. Take a look at the pictures below to see the most challenging spots that come up by surprise throughout this course. If you haven't already read Commodore's thread on course 3, then I suggest you do so at this point. She explains all of the different obstacles and hill types throughout all of the courses of Polar Plunge, which gives you a very good understanding about what you are up against. Good luck! For this course, there isn't many tricky parts that require a lot of attention. The only trick you need to know to successfully make it a good portion down is to go slowly. There are many bumbs that will easily throw you off if you are either not paying attention or going to fast. If you are looking forsnowflakes, you won't find any. So far I have not seen any and I have not heard of anyone seeing any on this course. Just like the other courses, there are trees that shift with each run. The first tree shift is at the very beginning at around 120. From my experience, there 5 different positions that this tree can be in. One thing to look out for is the snowman and trees that are back to back that require a greater jumping distance. There are a good amount of these obstacles and with speed bumps to throw you off, they become more dangerous. When approaching about 4100, watch out for this part. Be sure to jump far out so you will not hit the post that you can in the bottom left of the picture. Another part to watch out for is around 5200 when you must go either very slow, or very fast. When you jump over the igloo, be careful of the bumb right before the tree. If you hit it you will usually be thrown right into the tree. This part comes around the 6700 mark. These are 3 ways try this jump. Red and Black both lead to no good. The blue course is your best option. I will update with more pictures as I get further down the hill. As far as everyone is concerned, there has been no reportings of a trophy on this course. Once someone completes this course, we will then find out if they are rewarded with a trophy. Since this course has been completed, I can now start a status on what the odds to the trophy are. My biggest thanks go out to Chapman12 and Commodore in which these threads wouldn't be possible without them.
Thankyou so much for your support. I love doing these kinds of things.

It's going to be a hit!
I'll have to come and check back regularly to get some hints on this course.
Here's where I'm stuck at (approx. the 6700 points mark): | | | 02-18-2008, 04:42 PM | #7 | Did it! Gift Guru Join Date: May 2007 Posts: 11,168 | Re: Polar Plunge - Walkthrough for Course #2 - Ice Cream Float For the 6700 part, you have to slow down just enough to make it over the igloo when you drop down to give you enough time to jump over the tree. | | | 02-18-2008, 05:33 PM | #9 | Did it! The black one you just ran off the cliff into the tree, the red one you jumped off, then jumped into the tree. The blue one is the one you should take.

Just got my new high score of 9041. I died on the part as I did last time, put only with more points than last time. Last edited by JBONE92; 02-18-2008 at 05:33 PM.. Great Job! Somehow I knew you would finish this before I got back home. I love how you made the black, red and blue diagram...that is most helpful. I think Commodore and I must be "twins living apart" because we play almost identical to each other including our pace. Congrats!!

I just want to cry...Was I really close? There were 2 snowmen "holding hands" right before this crash. Wow! Last edited by chapman12; 02-18-2008 at 10:56 PM..
