How long does it take to get to level 19 on operation gumball??That's what the average level williamson_39 said to get about for a good chace at a trophy.

Hmmmm, I never thought of it in that way before.

I'd say about 30 minutes of play -- just over a minute per level sounds about right. Maybe a bit faster. I would have to time myself. But, with the Winter Festival going on right now, I don't want stop doing that.

Yeah, chances for a trophies improve as you go further into the game. I've won only 5, but 4 of those came in levels 18 or higher. Hamlet used to say that his winning percentage for completing all of the levels (there are 30) was about 25%. Not sure, but it seems like they made the trophy harder to win lately. I haven't gotten one in about 50 games now.

Speed will vary and will improve as you can process the information faster. Once you understand the tutorial you will get to the higher levels more and more often. Most of my trophies are won from level 26-30. The big stumbling points in the game are level 20, 23, 26, 29 and 30. Those are the levels that allow for very few mistakes or extra guesses. By using the concept in Hamlets tutorial no matter what number the computer has you will solve the level in a finite number of guesses. On most of the levels barring a mistake on your part the odds of loosing are very slim or impossible. On those 4 levels mentioned I don't know the odds of failure but they are greater than any other level.

As for time 5-6 minutes for levels 1-10, 7-9 minutes for levels 11-20 and same for 21-30.

The reason I used level 19 as an example is that level 20 is the first of the very common barriers for players who have a good handle on the strategy of the game. As Elektra implied, levels before that can most often be completed explicitly with no lucky guesses and little danger of losing because of an unfortunate code that just didn't happen to work well with your search pattern.

But if you look at the "Likelihood by Playing Time" part of the Random Trophies Part II thread, you'll see that the odds vs. time tradeoff for this game tends to even out below level 20. The extra time you spend getting to the higher levels tends to cancel out the advantage of better trophy odds.

My time numbers are the same as Elektra's. In the long run, until you can master the strategy and routinely get past level 20, you can expect to have to play between 3 and 7 hours per trophy (averaged over many trophies). Once you can get above level 20 in most games, it will take you less time.

Trophy odds are about 1 in 900 after level 1, and they improve to 1 in 5 for completeting level 30. Net for the entire game is close to 1 in 2 if you finish it.

for me i takes about 25 minutes to complete the game... but i have played so many times i go through levels in seconds...
most people will probably beat level 19 in 20-30 minutes... it depends on how easy each level is..
