Sure I'd be glad to help you. Thanks for you post, & for taking a picture! Let's examine your guesses.

Guess #1 &2: You're off to a good start. Correct, you know there's no 1 or 2, & there's a 3 or a 4.

Guess # 3: Correct, there's no 4, so there's a 3. And the 3 will be in the second or fourth postion. Keep this in mind.

Guess #4: Either the 5 or the 3 are in the correct position. Odds are it's the 3, since the 3 has two possible positions, whereas the 5 has 3 other possible positions. May I suggest, that next time you guess 56565 on guess #3, and 78787 on guess #4. This will give you a clear idea of what numbers there could be. At this point you only know about the 3.

Guess #5: (63571): you knew the 3 and the 5 were in the solution, and it was a good idea to move the 5. Adding the 6 and the 7 at the same time, in my opinion, made it more confusing. We don't know yet where the 3 is, and now we're uncertain as to what the new number is, a 6 or a 7? May I suggest that you guess a 63566. This will determine if there is a 6. If you get a green ball & a red ball, you'll know the 3 is in the right postion. If you get 3 balls, you'll know the 6 is in the solution.

Guess #6: Here you were trying to determine if there is a 6 or a 7. However, this is the middel of the guessing , and you'll run out of guesses soon. Doing a 56565 and a 78787 earlier will give you the data, & help you to introduce several numbers together.

Guess #7: You now know that the 5 is not in the first position, and the 3 is in the second position.

Guess # 8: You did not need to guess this, as from guess #7 it is known the position of the 3.

Guess #9: you learn the 7 is in the solution, & it's not in the first place. Guessing other know numbers with this will help you find the solution faster.

Guess #10: You learned 0 is not in the solution. This could be done by incorporating other numbers in the solution as well.

Guess #11: The 3 is in the second position, we know there's no 4 in the solution, iit was not necessary to put the 3 at the end.

Guess #12: It's frustrating when you run out of guesses, I understand completely.

Let me show you another way to guess, with these 5 digit numbers.

In levels 1 through 10, the first 4 guesses, in my opinion, will always be:

1) 12121
2) 34343
3) 56565
4) 78787

Based on those guesses, here are the colors of balls we'll get: (i'll make a colored O to indicate the color of balls that will follow)

1) 12121-
2) 34343-O
3) 56565-O
4) 78787-OO

Now we know there is a 3 or a 4, a 5 or a 6, a 7 and an 8, and a 9 or a 0.

so the next guess, as you did , would be:

5) 41111-
6) 53111-OO
7) 73577-OOO

Now we know the 3 is in the correct position, and the 5 is at the end. The 7 has to be in the middle or the first position, and the 8 is in the third or fifth or first position.

83715-OOOO

Now we know, it's just a mater of determining, is the 9 or the 0 in the fourth position.

9) 83795-OOOOO

Wow momwhoplays, you really are awesome at this game. I really appreciate the tips. I've tried this games several times and only made it to level 3 or 4. When I read this a few minutes ago I tried the game again and have already made it to level 9. I was so excited. Thanks so much!! Back to Operation Gumball. LOL!
