That game had a certain number of slots for pegs, and a certain number of colors for the pegs. The normal game had 4 slots nad 6 colrs I believe (could be wrong about that) and then there was an advanced version with more slots (6?) and more colors (8?). You opponent would determine a pattern of colors for the pegs, and you had a certain number of guesses - - 10 I think - - to figure out their pattern. Of course each guess you got feedback on the number exactly correct (right color, right slot) and the number of colors correct but wrong slot. This was done with other tiny pegs.
Operation Gumball is very similar except you have 10 digits, 0 to 9 (which are like the colors). You start out on level 1 wtih 3 slots, and then more slots are added (6 on level 10). Also, as the levels progress it gets harder in other ways: for example, after level 10 then you can have duplicate numbers, though the number of slots goes back to 3 at level 10 and 21. Also the number of guesses is reduced and the time is reduced. Levels in the 20's are extremely hard with little time and few guesses. Level 30 is the max, and then the game is finished.
Good luck !

Here are the number of tries you have at the various levels:
level --number of tries
1-- ?12
2 --11
3 --10
4--12
5--11
6 --10
7---12
8 --11
9 --10
10--11
11--11
12 -10
13-- 9
14-- 8
15 -10
16 --9
17 -11
18 -10
19 --9
20 --9
This is a start. If you would like me to complete this list, let me know , & I'll do so.
And so , you can see, the number of tries gets fewer as the levels progress. I've thought of practicing with level 20, and 30 has 8 tries, I believe. Ask someone to think of a 6 digit number, and you get 9 or 8 guesses. With these games we don't always get a lot of practice on the higher levels, as it takes some much time to get to a higher level. So this is my plan for improving my game. Last edited by momwhoplays; 07-06-2008 at 02:10 AM.. You can see how many tries you'll need to pass, so you can reach a higher level. I'll fill in over 20 when I'm able--today I wasn't so lucky, & did not pass level 20. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
