~Unbreakable Friendship ~ A story of Chubby Checker & Disco Candy~

~Chapter 1 - New Horse~

Disco Candy and Chubby Checker were best friends. They did everything together. Though Chubby Checker was a cow and Disco Candy was a pink pony, that didn't stop them. In Webkinz World one day, just as Disco Candy made her move in Chess, the doorbell rang. Chubby Checker stood up.

"I'll get it - and don't move my peices while I'm gone!" He called over his sholder.

"I won't, I won't! Sheesh!" She called back.

(Since they were so much like brother and sister, they argued a lot)

"Hi Yin-Yang, come on in!"

"Okay, thanks."

Suddenly, Yin-Yang apperd at the game room door.

"Hello, Disco Candy."

"You can call me Disco, you know." She replied, not very fond of her full name.

"I know. But it's not proper." Yin-Yang answerd, being a very serious guy.

Disco caught Chubby's eye and stiffled a giggle. Yin-Yang ignored her and sat on the couch, smoothing out the cushion first.

"Did you hear about the new horse moving in?" He asked casually.

This caught Disco's attenion.

"What new horse?"

"Hmm. ."

Yin-Yang turned on the TV, to the news channel.

"What new--"

Yin-Yang held up his paw to silence her, pointing to the TV with his other paw.

". . And so it is heard, Craftyreader adopted another pet, a black fresian, who is now moving in her webkinz household right now. She is about 10 years old (in horse age) and she loves dancing and the color pink. So that is all for now. I'm Plumpy and this has been another episode of Webkinz Newz."

"Wow, another horse!" Disco Candy smiled, jumping up.

"Where are you going?? We're in the middle of a game!"

"It can wait - I'm going to welcome the new horse! Are you coming?"

"No. . I"ll stay here." Chubby sulked.

Yin-Yang stood up, too.

"I'd better be on my way." He said, grabbing his jacket.

"Bye!" Disco Candy called.

"Goodbye, Chubby Checker." Yin-Yang called.

"Bye. ." Chubby said, sadly watching Disco Candy leave.

haha cute story...but Chubby is so sad....you have to get to the point where he is happy again!!

~Chapter 2 - Meeting Midnight Majesty~

Knock, knock!

Disco Candy tapped on the new horse's door, curiously. What will she be like? She wonderd. The door opened and a beautiful, black, horse, wearing a ballet suit, smiled friendly. Disco Candy smiled too, hoping this horse would like her.

"Hi, I'm Disco Candy, but I'd rather you call me Disco. I live in this house, too!"

"Oh, hi Disco! I'm Midnight Majesty, it's nice to meet you. I hope we can be good friends."

"Me too!"

"I would invite you in - but this place is a mess!"

Disco Candy smiled knowingly.

"That's okay - I can help, if you want."

"Oh, you don't have to!"

"But, I want to." Disco insisted.

"Well. ." Midnight Majesty shrugged. "Okay, come on in!"

She opened the door wider and Disco stepped in. She gasped - Midnight wasn't kidding! This place was a MESS! Furniture was strolled everywhere, along with toys and books. The floor was pink; The walls were halfway pink, halfway white.

"I told you." Midnight giggled.


~The Next Week~

"What should we do now, Disco?" Midnight asked, after winning their game of hop-scotch.

"Actually, I have plans."

"Oh." Midnight Majesty's face fell.

Seeing how upset she was, Disco hesitated.

"But, I guess I could stay a little while longer. ."

"Thank you!" Midnight cried, jumping up to hug her.

"No problem - but I'll have to call Chubby Checker."

"Okay! I'll set up the paint set!"

"Sounds like fun - can we hoof paint?"

"Sure!" Laughed Midnight.

Disco went in the house and dailed Chubby's room number. He answerd on the first ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Chubby. Listen, I'm over and Majesty's house, and I can't make it to the movie. But maybe we can go later--"

"Don't worry about it - you need to be there for your real friend, not me!"

"But, Chubby--"

The line went dead and Disco hung up the phone, confused. Why was Chubby angry with her? And she did need to be there for Midnight Majesty, but what did he mean, 'her real friend'?

"Disco, are you coming?"

"Yeah, I'll be right there!"

Disco Candy looked at the phone, sighing and walked outside slowly, feeling blue. (Even though she was rather pink, LOL)


~Chapter 3~

"Chubby? I know your in there! Answer, or I'm opening this door!" Disco warned.

She stood outside Chubby Checker's door, her hoof on the knob. Was he still mad at her? And, if so, what did she do? Candy - whoops, I mean Disco, sorry Disco, LOL - tried to open the door, then releized it was locked.

"CHUBBY! Let me in this instant!"

Disco waited, but no sound came from inside. She sighed. Maybe somebody else knew where he was - maybe Chocolate Chip? He was his best friend, other then her. So she walked to his room and knocked. After a minute, he opened the door.

"Have you seen Chubby?"

"Chubby? Hmm. . No, I haven't since yesterday."

"Is he mad at me?"

"Um. . I don't know!" Chocolate Chip said, quickly - too quickly.

"Why?" Disco asked, sensing something wrong.

"Erm. . Well, he thinks your being unfair."

"Unfair? How?"

"Well. . Your spending every minute with that new horse now and he doesn't think you still want to be friends with him, anymore. ."

"But, of course I do! Why would he think that?"

"Becuase. ." Chocolate Chip shrugged. "You haven't hung out with him in 2 weeks!"

"But, I've had good reasons!" Disco argued.

"That doesn't make a difference."

Disco slumped her shoulders. "Well, bye. Thanks."

"Bye." Chocolate waved, then shut his door and continued drawing.

Disco felt tears pricking in her eyes. What had she did? Midnight needed her - Chubby was fine. She didn't need him and he didn't need her! Now she was mad. It wasn't her fault Midnight was a better friend then Chubby. Disco started toward Majesty's room, her mind made up. .

~Chapter 4 - Why?~

"Why would he do this to me?" Disco Candy asked herself, while kicking her chair leg.

2 more days had passed and she had gave up on her idea. She did need Chubby and she missed him terribly. But it still wasn't fair - she hadn't ditched him! He ditched her! She had tried to apoligize, but he wouldn't accept. . Of course, there was nothing to apoligize for, was there? Why was he being so mean? Why was he mad at her? Why, why, why? Suddenly, she heard the phone ring. She rushed to get it. (Her fingers would be crossed, if she had any)

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey, Disco!"

"Oh, hey Midnight." Disco Candy replied, her hope melting.

"You sound dissapointed. Don't you want to talk to me?" Midnight sounded worried.

"Yes, of course I do!" Disco said, quickly reasurring her. "I was just hoping Chubby was answering my call."

"He still hasn't called you back? What a rotten friend!"

"Yeah. . He's pretty rotten." She agreed, but she knew the truth.

"Well, don't worry, I'll always be here for you!"

"I know. But it's not Chubby's fault." Candy started.

"Why?"

"Umm. . Well, he has other friends." She backed out.

"Hmph, that's still not a reason to ditch your best friend!"

"Your right." Disco said slowly, relizing what she had done.

"Are you coming over today?"

"Maybe later - I sort of need to fix a friendship."

"What?" Midnight questioned.

"I'll explained later." She promised.

"Okay. ." Midnight said, but Disco was already gone. .



~Chapter 5 - Alone~

"Hey, Disco, watch this!" Midnight Majesty called, bouncing on the trampoline. "Disco?"

Disco Candy sat with her head in her hoofs, feeling bored. She missed Chubby Checker like crazy! Why wasn't he answering his door or returning her calls?

"Disco!"

"Huh?" Disco's head snapped up.

"Earth to Disco, I said look!"

"Sorry. I just. . I have to go."

Midnight stared curiously after her.

Disco sighed, opening her door and fell on her bed. She felt so alone. Like nobody even knew she exsisted. Tears stung her eyes.

"I'm too old to cry, I'm too old to cry." She scolded herself.

At the same exact moment, Chubby was telling himself the same thing, while also, feeling alone. Why was life so hard? He thought, while wishing Disco was there.

~Chapter 6 - I'm sorry~

"Hey, Chubby, did I tell you Disco came to see me the other day?"

"She did?" Chubby Checker asked, hopefully.

"Yeah. . She said she tried to call you. . And she went to see you. . But you totally ignored her. I don't blame you, buddy. I mean, it was like she didn't even care about you anymore!"

"2 wrongs don't make a right. . But 2 rights wouldn't make a wrong, either." He muttered an old saying he'd heard his mom say many times before. Before he moved into WW.

"What?" Chocolate asked.

"Nothing. . I'll be right back." Chubby jumped off the couch, making the house rattle because he was a little chubby, and ran to Disco Candy's room.

He pushed open the un-locked door. Disco was sitting on her bed with her head down, her feet - well hoofs actually - swinging. As soon as the door opened, her head jerked up and a smile lit on her face.

"Chubby! I've missed you!" She ran to hug him, but he dodged.

"I've missed you too. . And I'm sorry."

Disco opened her mouth to apoligize too, but Chubby said something that made her heart sink to the pit of her stomach. It made al her hope slide through the gravity on the world. It made her want to cry.

"I'm sorry. . That I wasn't the friend you'd always wanted. Now I know that you don't want me. You want Midnight Majesty. Well, thats okay, I'll stay out of your way now."

She stood froze to the flloor, while Chubby Checker slid out of the door, shutting it behind him. When Disco was able to think straight again, she fell in her baseball chair and let the tears flow.
