i drew the first two today- i was kinda surprised at myself! usually i can only do one good pic at a time.

Chapter 36:

“Kurea? Lee?” Sakura called.
No answer.
“Neji, use your…” Naruto started.
“Byakugan!” Neji was already a step ahead of him.
“What do you see?” the pink haired kunoichi inquired.
Neji smiled and shook his head. “Those two… They’re already a mile ahead of us.”
“We’ll never catch up!” Sakura complained.
“I know you didn’t want it… but I think I’ll have to carry you.” Neji said. “Or else we’ll be hours behind.”
“Ugh…” Sakura made a face. She really didn’t want to, but she knew they had to catch up…
“I’ll carry her.” Suddenly someone stood behind her. Sakura whirled around to see…
“Sasuke!!” She cried in surprise.
“No time to wait around.” He said, reaching out to help her up. She took his hand and he swung her around him, letting her sit piggyback style.
“Let’s go!” Naruto said.
They all took off.

“Come on, we’re in a hurry!!!” Besani said to Kiba.
“I know!” he said. Akamaru was sitting on his head.
“Hey, can I have a couple of those soldier pills?” Besani asked.
“Sure. They’ll help us speed up.” Kiba took out the box. “Good idea!”
Besani caught the two he threw, took one, and gave one to Uwagi, who jumped off her shoulder and shot forward. Kiba and Akamaru ate theirs too, and soon they were all going at double speed. Their nose sensitivity was increased as well.
“Hey, Kurea, Sasuke, Lee, Neji, Naruto, and Sakura all came this way earlier!” Kiba noted.
“Maybe they had a mission to Suna as well!” Besani contemplated. “Hey, I think we’re catching up!” She pointed to some figures up ahead.
“Yeah, their scents are getting stronger.” Kiba noted.
Soon they started to pass Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto, and Neji. Kiba threw them soldier pills.
“If you catch up to Lee and Kurea, don’t give them food pills.” Neji warned. “They’re already pulling far ahead.”
“Fast isn’t fast enough.” Besani said. “We’re in a hurry.”
“This is just an investigation mission.” Neji explained. “There’s no need to rush.”
“No!” Besani protested. “Temari sent her ferret (Author’s note: or is it a weasel?) to me with an urgent help message!”
Neji’s eyes grew wide. “Pick up the speed!” He ordered.

“Dude- where ARE those guys?” Kurea turned around and started running backwards. “I can’t see them!”
“I think we have left them behind.” Lee explained. “Maybe we should take a break and wait for them.”
“Nah, let’s keep going.” Kurea didn’t feel like slowing down now that she had started running.
“Kurea, watch out!” Lee pushed her to the side. Kurea fell down on the ground. She looked up.
“Oh- There’s a tree there now, huh?” She asked herself as if it hadn’t been there before.
“If you had been looking where you were going, this would not have happened.” Lee reprimanded her.
“Oh, sure.” Kurea rolled her eyes with a sheepish grin. “I would have probably run into it anyway.”
“Stop that!” Lee told her.
“Stop what?”
“Being so cute!” Lee said, and then his face turned red when he realized he had said it aloud.
“Huh?” Kurea blushed and looked away.
“You are… distracting me... That is all…” Lee looked at his feet.
“I don’t get it…” Kurea said.
“You are just so clueless is all.” Lee smiled. “We had better get going.”
Kurea got up, and followed, still sort of confused.


Notes: I made myself extremely clueless, not because that's how i am in real life, but i figured it would give my OC a more intresting character. I'm actually an amazing guesser and a great spy and secret keeper xD
Also, if you're wondering why Sakura isn't very helpful in my story, it's because this 'aint shippuden yet.

Ok, her not being helpful because it ain't Shippuden yet is fine by me. ^_^ If you get to Shippuden, make her more helpful. I HATE when people make it seem like Sakura is this helpless stupid pathetic 13-year-old girl. Not that you are, like you said, it ain't Shippuden yet. But, anyways, I love the chapter! I need more!(sasuke...yays!)
