Please take a moment to review the rules before submitting an application for a creative writing thread. - All threads are now required to be reviewed by a moderator before posting.

Please submit the following form in a private message to MissGnomie or TTGTTG:

3. Title of story (Please choose a title, even if you're not sure. We need it for the approved list. You may change the title later as long as you send a PM to TTGTTG or MissGnomie so that we can make sure the list is current.)

4. Please submit a brief summary of your story (no more than 200 words):

RULES

1. This area is not for role playing or creating a story with others. -- Please keep it one author to each story. If you are interested in creating stories with others, check out the role playing section! Keep in mind that this also includes creating a thread for multiple stories.

2. One Author per thread -- this goes in hand with the rule above. There is to be only one author/writer per thread, no "joint stories".

3. If the rules say it's not allowed, but you see another story have ____ that does not mean it is OK! Please flag any thread for staff to review that are breaking the rules.

4. No Graphic Violence -- this means no blood, dying/killing or people almost dying, or gore. Mild disagreements happen, but we want it to be appropriate for everyone.

5. No Romance -- Nothing physical (kissing, hugging, hand holding, etc) or "dating" of any kind in the writing. Its just not appropriate for everyone here.

6. Nothing "dark" or "scary" -- Again, we have younger members on here. No vampires or Zombies for example, they are not appropriate due to the other rules. Please keep it appropriate for members as young as 7.

7. No Adult Language or Content -- Discussion or trying to get past the filters is also not allowed.

8. No Smoking, Drugs, or Alcohol.

9. Keep your comments polite. -- If you are giving advice or suggestions about the story please keep it polite. No saying "Your story is awful! I hate it" that is just not nice to do.

10. Your stories should be your own. -- Do not "take" someone's story and claim for it to be your own. This is not allowed. Both for stories of others or books that you may read.

11. Kidnapping and other crimes are not appropriate for WI stories. This includes stalkers. Please keep them off your threads. Nothing about torture or abuse (mental or physical) is allowed either.

12. You may not post a "clean" version of the story only to PM/VM the version that breaks WI rules. This is absolutely not allowed and risks your WI account.

13. Statements like: "I'll post the new chapter after ___ number of posts/pages!" is not allowed. You may not encourage post counting by telling viewers you will not post until you have reached a post/page number. This encourages off topic chatter and spam.

14. No off topic chatting -- these threads are for stories, not for chatting. Please keep all off topic chit-chat off the threads. Keeping your thread just for chatting with friends risks your story being removed or closed. (You may post comments about the story posted or questions)

15. When adding graphics, do not hot-link the images -- For more information on what Hot-linking is please check out this thread: Please do not "Hot Link" your images.

16. Please do not post links for stories off site -- all stories should be posted directly in the thread itself. Linking to another site is not allowed.

17. This section is not for contests or "rate my writing" threads -- Any contests prizes or not will be deleted.

18. Please do not post if a story is autobiographical. If you write a story about starting high school and say "This is all what happened to me when I started high school this year," then you have just given our your age/school level.

19. "Bumping" threads is not allowed.

20. If another member breaks a rule (like chatting) on your story, it is your responsibility to report it to a mod and ask that it be removed. If you are aware of the problem, but do nothing about it, your story will still be deleted.
