Cassie looked at the tile. She slowly said “If another Moore dies, I won’t haunt the Moore Mansion again.” Nicole thought her family shouldn’t die. She decided to die for her. She wrote a note to her parents:
Dear family,
I have given up my life for Cassie. She was a mistreated servant who was owned by Megan. I have met her ghost and she promised to stop haunting us if only a Moore gives up a life. I have volunteered so you won’t suffer. Please don’t be sad, I was willing to.
I love you,
Nicole
Nicole took a picture of Cassie and put it by the note. Cassie faded away when Nicole finished. Cassie had a peaceful glow, her rags replaced with a flowing white robe. “Thank you Nicole!” Cassie said joyfully. She then disappeared. Nicole went to the attic and found Megan’s dress that she wore in the painting. She wore the dress and curled her hair. She wore three gold rings on each finger. The last touch was Megan’s prized possession: her diamond necklace. Nicole put on makeup. She put a bucket of water at the foot of the painting.

She held the note and picture. She stood in front of the picture. She then drowned herself in the bucket. “This was for you” Nicole said to Megan’s painting. She collapsed and died. As she died, Megan disappeared from her painting.
