Pond Ghost

Hope you like it this is my first thread in this bulletin and my first story Comments and Critique is appreciated !!

The bare trees scratched against the window. It was 11:00 pm, 15 year old Nicole was watching music videos on her TV. Her weak window rattled against the window as her white, silky curtain blew. Her parents were at Ireland, while Nicole was alone in her five story brick mansion in London, England. The Moores were VERY wealthy, thanks to Megan Moore, who owned the mansion since 1763. Nicole looked a LOT like Megan Moore. Nicole was busy chatting to people on her computer when she heard water dripping in the hallway.

It was 11:30 p.m. It’s not raining, Nicole thought. A circular object rolled across the floor. It was an eye! A ghostly white hand picked it up. The ghost pushed it back in its socket. The ghost pointed at 12 on the clock and made a gesture by gliding its hand against its neck. It disappeared. ZAP! The power went out. Nicole was shocked. She heard the dripping noise again in the hallway. She opened the door in the hallway. The picture of Megan stared at her. Right at the foot of the painting was a shiny puddle of water…moving. The puddle formed into a girl about Nicole’s age. Then, she turned into the shape of a human. She was wearing a shaggy rag dress and an apron. She had silvery white hair and chocolate brown skin. She was wearing a rounded beat up hat. Then, two other ghosts appeared. One was a man with a tuxedo and oily hair and the other was… Megan Moore. She had wavy blonde hair, a puffy old pink dress. She looked fancy with her finery; she was wearing at least three gold rings on every finger. The three were standing on the balcony. “I’m sorry I spilled the wine in the party Lady Moore. I’ll clean it and buy it with my pennies!” the shaggy girl cried. Megan rolled her eyes and said to the man, “Andrew, just whip her!” Andrew took out the whip. “Stand still little Cassie.” Andrew told the girl. Cassie screamed, and jumped off the balcony and head first into the huge pond. The other two ghosts faded away.

i just hope the mods wont close this o.o

Nicole ran downstairs and outside to the pond. Cassie rose up from the water. The clock chimed 12:00am. Cassie saw Nicole. “Lady Moore! Why aren’t you in yer petticoats?” Cassie gasped, pointing at Nicole’s pajamas. Cassie mistook Nicole for Megan. “I’m not Megan, I’m Nicole. Although, Megan is my ancestor.” said Nicole. Cassie then
glared at her. “So you are the dirty Moore that killed me!” Nicole just stared. She was so scared that she suddenly pushed Cassie in the water. Nicole just sat and cried at the pond, shaken that she almost got killed. Cassie’s hand abruptly grabbed Nicole’s leg. “AAAAAAHH!!!!” yelled Nicole. “ Now I’ll get my revenge!” said Cassie. She pulled Nicole in the pond. Cassie turned into the water figure again. Nicole couldn’t escape, and she couldn’t swim either. She just struggled, being pulled down, and trying to grab the edge of the pond. Nicole kicked Cassie off. She emerged from the water, collapsing on the ground. Cassie followed her up, and sat next to her. “Oh no…” Nicole gasped.


Cassie started to sob. Nicole, only now realizing how her ancestor was cruel to her like on the balcony, gave her a hug. Cassie hugged back. “I’m sorry Lady Nicole.” Cassie apologized. “Please don’t call me Lady, just called me Nicole.” replied Nicole. “Now, will you forgive Megan for being cruel?”
“No I shall not! She has been very cruel to me and so has her oily brother Andrew! If I know she is dead, then I’ll rest in peace.” Nicole explained that Megan was dead, and showed her the engraving on the pond tile, “In memory of Megan Moore, 1742-1780”

and im sorry if any of these names are yours and you are offended i just used random names
