As i walked along the sea,
I saw a maiden, pretty as anything nice.
She wore blue, for she was ice,
And snow fell around her,
For she was the spirit of Winter,
I wanted to give her friendship,
But this happened next.
As i ran to her,
She faded away.
Into the nothingness i know now.
The closer i got,
She move gone she grew,
And when i was there,
She was gone.
I cried,
Because it was so rare,
To see a spirit out here.
I wanted to tell people,
But i couldn't find words,
So i just left it for my head.
Then one day,
Right before Christmas,
I saw her again,
Plain as day,
Dressed with a fox's tail and dragon's wings,
Crystal boots, and flowing purple hair,
And the ears of a cat.
I gestured to my partner,
"There she is!
The spirit of Winter!"
But he did not see.
I could only wonder,
If i was the only one
Who could see the spirits
Of the seasons.
I did not try to walk toward her again,
For i knew she would fade away.
And that is what she did,
As i walked away. Last edited by IttyGirl2; 10-26-2009 at 05:59 PM.. |
